Amazing, the perfect place to stay in Edinburgh

I had the best time at Martin's Guesthouse. I was in a "princess" room, very charming and comfortable, with an amazing bathroom. Everything was very clean and well tended. Most of all, Stephen was very welcoming and helpful,he gave me advice about sightseeing and the last day I could leave my bag at the guesthouse for the day until my flight. Also, it's an easy walk to the old city centre (under 20 minutes), to the Meadows and Holyrood parks...

Adorable, Comfortable Stay

Loved the room, location, and staff who checked me in. Adored the view from my room as well. I was at the very top of the stairs; be prepared to carry your luggage up many stairs.

Friendly Edinburgh stop-over

We had to travel from the East Midlands up to Aberdeen for a funeral & stayed over in Edinburgh on the way up & coming back down. We couldn't have found a better place to stay. Everything is Covid-safe. We were able to order in a couple of takeaways in the evening & eat them in the dining room (there are plenty of good takeaways near by). Steven couldn't do enough for us and having a comfortable, relaxing port of call helped us through what would have been a very stressful few days. We were also able to stretch our legs in a nearby park on our last morning, having spent too many hours sat in the car, and saw a few of the sights before we left. Highly recommended.

Clean room, comfortable bed, reasonable price

Clean and nice, comfortable bed, very good breakfast selection. Host is very helpful and informative. Sink in bathroom is so small it is difficult not to spill water when using it. Residential location is about 1/2 hour walk to Royal Mile. There are frequent buses, stopping very close to Martin's, which go to Princes street.

A very good guesthouse

We enjoyed our all to brief stay at Martin's Guesthouse. Excellent service, very good breakfast. Could choose between 6-7 alternatives, all freshly prepared. Nice room, the bathroom was perhaps a tad small, but fully functional.I would definitively try to get a room here the next time we are back in Edinburgh.

Prettig verblijf, top!

Très jolie chambre d'hôte avec une belle decoration, un personnel tres gréable mais trop discret, chambre confortable, super petit déjeuner et centre historique d'Edimbourg a 20 minutes à pied ou plus rapide en bus (l'arrêt est a côté de la maison)

Felt like staying with friends.

Sam Burns, the proprietor, gave us the warmest welcome we had anywhere in the UK. He treated us like friends. The whole staff was wonderful and did anything they could to make us comfortable. The house was charming and the sitting room brought strangers together to chat as friends. I loved it there and would gladly return.

Kjempehyggelig sted for overnatting m/frokost i Edinburgh. Rent og god plass på rommet. Grei gåavstand til sentrum. Dårlig på å svare på e-posthenvendelser i forkant av oppholdet, men det ordnet seg helt supert (trengte å få vite hvor vi fant nøkkel og at det var barneseng på rommet - sen ankomst)
