Fountain Court Apartments, EQ2 location

We had a terrific experience at the EQ2 Fountain Court Apartments. Having a 2 bedroom, 2 bath unit was very comfortable for our family of four--much better than staying in 2 hotel rooms. The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Having a washer/dryer in addition to the usual kitchen appliances was wonderful. It was especially nice to be able to have breakfast at the apartment before heading out for a day of sight-seeing. Staff members were very nice and helpful. It was about a 20 minute walk from the Royal Mile with shops and restaurants along the way. I would stay here again if we return to Edinburgh.

Great location. Secure parking. Only issue was no soundproofing and neighbouring apartment guests were loud till late. Would stay again but not on ground floor.

Great for families

Nice apartment, perfect for a family with young kids like ours. A quick trip to Tesco makes dinner at the apartment easy and affordable. Staff was welcoming and the location was close enough to the center to walk... but cleaner and quieter than the old town centre. Only complaint was no onsite breakfast... but no big deal.

Read that it was a studio apartment so didn't expect much, but it was surprisingly sizeable and was as furnished as my flat. Usually you need to pay a deposit via the card you used to pay. I paid with my credit card which I didn't know the PIN for. Fortunately, apparently if you book through Expedia, you can use any card.

Clean and spacious. The only issue we had was with the washing machine that didn't work properly and we only knew once we had a wet load of laundry in. Otherwise the place was great and loved having 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms.

Receptionist was really bad. Not friendly at all. Apartment was great. Very spacious. There is a luggage storage, however you have to store it yourself. Housekeeping not great - Made beds, but did not take out trash. I would stay at the property prolly not at this one given its distance from the city center

I've stayed in several of these apartments over the years and they have always been good experiences. The apartments are well appointed, lavish even, quiet, warm and very comfortable. Even the studios are quite roomy. The location is pretty handy with Haymarket only five minutes walk away and Princes Street only ten. I'd be happy to return after keeping an eye on pricing across various outlets. The rates vary quite considerably.

Alles perfekt,sogar Kaffee und Zucker waren da. Alles blitz und sauber geputzt. Kein Problem beim Kaution zurückgeben,obwohl der Gegenbeleg von uns nicht mehr gefunden werden konnte. Sehr freundlich bei Empfehlung für Essen , Trinken und Frühstückmöglichkeiten.

A very comfortable stay. Two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, lounge/dining area/kitchen - all very clean and modern. Tea/coffee/sugar/milk cartons were available. 'White' goods/fully equipped kitchen was a real bonus. Televisions in lounge area & both bedrooms with fully integrated sound system throughout. Reception staff were polite & helpful - 24 hours.

We chose this property sight unseen and I was really worried. However, we were thrilled with the property. It was clean and modern. For the price of one hotel room we were able to get two apartments that could’ve slept 10 together. Our units were in the same building as check-in and within walking distance to the castle and sights we wanted to see. The neighborhood was safe and quiet. The kitchen had all we needed and the beds were comfortable crisp and clean.

Had an emergency and had to go back to England...the staff members said “how do you have an emergency when your booking was made 5 minutes ago”...I was shocked when i heard her say this ..never staying here again

Spacious practical apartments

Have stayed at fountain court apartments a few times. They are great. Everything there you need. Clean comfortable and not too far to walk. Only negative we had was that they could only give us one key for the room as the previous guests had lost one. We expressed how unsafe we felt that anyone could let themselves in. We questioned the receptionist who said they had 8 apartment blocks in various locations in Edinburgh and they’d have to try every room 424 to find the right one!!!! We weren’t convinced so she brought the manager out who said they’d changed the locks that day but if that was the case why was there still only one key which wasn’t a new key!! And if locks were changed why would they only supply one key. Also why didn’t the receptionist say that!! We were skeptical and felt a little exposed and worried about our belongings. All was ok thankfully but we did worry.

E' andato tutto molto bene. Apaprtamento spazioso. Camere pulite. Due bagni. Portiere 24 h al giorno. Convenzione (-20% con ristorante poco lontano). Parcheggio interno (a pagamento 12GBP al giorno). Zona central (Edimburgo e' abbastanza piccola). La scelta ha soddisfatto in pieno le aspettative.
