Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
We stayed in a deluxe suite, it was obviously recently done and looked immaculate, including linens and towels; the suite had 2 balconies with view over the bay. On the negative side there were no restaurants open in Rosario but Eastsound is a less than a 10 minute drive and there were several there. Very close to Moran Nationalpark, plenty of hiking and scenery; the Moran mansion however is closed.
We had a great stay. Would have liked to see the main building open. I understand they are going through changes. It was the off season. The grounds were beautiful.
Relaxing stay. Bird song, sunsets viewed from a bluff, harbor seals. Very close proximity to Moran State Park. Room was clean and comfortable with a small patio looking out on the bay.

The Rosario Resort seems to have fallen on hard times. While we liked the seaside setting and the cute little boat marina, the rest of the facilities looked abandoned or neglected. The two-story building we stayed in was well maintained, but we hardly saw anyone (other guests or staff) during our 2 night stay. We also discovered that the museum and restaurant are closed for renovations. Again, nothing unpleasant if you like secluded places but the whole thing had kind of weird vibe.

All around it was a good visit, it was a unique place to stay. The the rooms were clean , but the remote front desk was a little different than what we were used to. The staff on site were kind and prompt although we had to use a translator to communicate. My wife and I genuinely loved it. The place Is rustic, and it has a historic antiquated vibe to it. We really can't wait to come back when the restorations have been completed. Overall, the mansion is at the very least a must stop for its historic value and natural beauty. Definitely an economic place to stay If you're on a budget visiting in the offseason. P.s. my wife would like to mention thst orca sightings from the property are possible because we were blessed with our own personal pod of three orcas, a little family, getting ready for their migration. Happy travels.

The property was lovely. I did not know that the Mansion and pool were not accessible. Our room had plenty of space and very beautiful.
The property location and the surrounding views were awesome. The room was clean and well furnished. The only inconvenience was that there was no soap and the body was and conditioner bottles were empty.
Great location, with a nice balcony and view. Bed was ok, but pillows were not. We would have appreciated some direction on where the hotel room was. It’s located nearby the hotel mansion but there was no one to instruct us where to go and no message that the room was in a different location under the name Bayside Inn.
The location is fantastic, close to the village but quiet and on the water. A few criticisms to note. The room was very clean and seemed recently renovated but the shower would not get hot. Despite asking it to be repaired, no such action was taken. The room was missing a smoke alarm and had a strong disinfectant smell (enough to produce a headache). Finally, the leaking and ugly ice maker at the entrance really has the effect of making the place feel dumpy- fix it and clean up the area or put a door over it at least. For those of us over 40, the mattress was a bit uncomfortable.
Nestled in a quiet cove (this was after Labor Day). The rooms are very spacious. The main building was closed ( restaurant, spa, etc) for renovation, so we did not have the full experience. The guys at the grill were fully and made a very tasty guacamole.

The restaurant and store were very disappointing. Our TV did not work and fellow who tried to help spoke no English and was unable to fix it. View and grounds were lovely. Room was clean and well supplied.

The main facility was closed, so not many dining options. The rooms are clean and recently remodeled, which is nice. They say that the marina grill is open for breakfast but your only options are tacos or omelets. No toast, no fruit, no hash browns. Very limited menu. If you have food allergies you are best to bring your own food.
This is the first negative review I have submitted over three decades. I have spent over 20 years staying on Orcas consistently. We have stayed at a lot of nice places, as well as some that were fair. Of these lodgings, this by far does not parallel the photos and falls short at the very bottom of the list.
This unit it not to the level we expected. The fireplace glass is complete black and you can't see the flames, which takes several years to get to this point and exhibits the lack of care and oversight to fix problems. Additionally, there are large stains all over the carpet and tables that Super 8 or Motel 6 wouldn't tolerate. Further, the fridge barely works and we discovered all our meat thawed due to the freezer being broken. To add to our experience, there is no insulation between the downstairs suite, which we stayed in, and the upstairs suite. We had to experience the young swinger's romp late into the night past 2:00 am, as if we were in bed with them. Wish we would have brought earplugs.
The positive is the view from the back deck, which is beautiful. Unfortunately, we found out the suite deck is not private, as tenants from side units have access on the wrap around deck to walk to your back door to enjoy the view ... so the two chairs you think are for you actually become available for anyone in the complex. Very sad.
We will not stay here again and will spend an additional $100 a night to stay elsewhere.
Wondering property with a stunning view. Our room 1316 was amazing. The problem was that there were zero instructions for the lovely fire place, and I was not able to get it running. They do not staff this property after hours. I texted and then called the number of the texting help. The customer service was a nice person located in the country of India.
I called the first time at 6:33 pm and we never did get any help from a real person on site. The texting and my calls to customer support went on for almost 2 hours.
It was cold and cloudy and we really wanted to enjoy the fire, in this wonderful room.
So the property was wonderful. The service people in India were nice. But if you need someone to do anything on site, it appears that this is not possible after hours currently.
Rosario Village is stunningly beautiful. It is under new management and in the midst of a renovation of the mansion and spa. The only area open are tge guest rooms in the Bayside building. That was a surprise after I had already booked. My room was comfortable and spacious, but it was very hot outside and there is no AC, just a fan. That should be improved. It was a contactless check in, which was a little confusing in terms of which building, but otherwise fine. The grounds and boat marina are goregous and very walkable. The views are panaramic of the East side of Orcas Island and the water! Stunning! I will definitely book again and look forward to seeing the rest of the property after tge reno is completed.
