"The building is in need of a full refurbishment throughout. Tired carpets and curtains, damaged or poorly repaired walls, broken lifts and windows. For the price listed, i could have found better and had i have known, i would have. The parking was free, after speaking to the young man on reception, he said it was not necessary to record my vehicle registration. So i guess we'll see if a ticket lands at my door. Wouldn't recommend this hotel. "

"Didn't stay. Checked and and given room key to a room which was already occupied. Entered room and walked in on other guests. Given another room which was lesser standard than first room. Duty manager was difficult and argumentative. Left the hotel and stayed elsewhere "

"Beautiful old hotel in an excellent location for the city centre! We stayed in the Surlingham junior suite and the room was big and so full of character we absolutely loved it! The staff were so friendly and helpful and we would totally recommend staying here!"

"Lovely, clean room, comfortable bed and friendly staff. Parking was available under the building &, with a bus stop just across the road, access to the city centre was easy. We had breakfast on our last morning which was fresh & had everything we wanted."
