The Cove Hotel St.Croix

10/10 Excellent

"I had such a lovely stay at The Cove Hotel in St. Croix. The space itself is beautiful—thoughtfully designed with decor that feels both stylish and inviting, without trying too hard. It immediately sets a calm, relaxing tone the moment you arrive. What really stood out to me was how tranquil the setting is. It feels tucked away in the best way, making it easy to unwind and fully enjoy the island pace. The owners were also incredibly kind and welcoming, which added a personal touch that you don’t always find. If I had to note one small downside, it would be that the WiFi connection was a bit spotty at times. That said, it really wasn’t a big deal for us since we spent most of our days out exploring St. Croix anyway. Overall, it’s a charming and peaceful place to stay, especially if you’re looking to relax and soak in the island atmosphere."

"This is a unique property with a lovely access to the best beach ever! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The room is spacious and all utilities worked perfectly. I loved that it is non frills and at the same time well thought out in terms of comfort. Will certainly recommend and return!"

"My wife and I recently enjoyed our first visit to St. Croix. It is a fascinating island with so much rich history; we made sure to explore the sights at Fort Frederik and Christiansted, and took in the beautiful views at Point Udall. The Buccaneer Resort is a lovely property, and overall, we had a good stay. The atmosphere is very quiet, the breakfast buffet was excellent, and the drinks at the beach were fantastic. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, there were a few areas where our experience didn’t quite meet expectations. During our dinner at The Terrace, we found the staff to be quite slow and inattentive, even during a slower period. Regarding our accommodations, while the room was generally fine, the beds were quite firm, making it a bit difficult to get a comfortable night's sleep. Additionally, we were disappointed that the air conditioning stopped working entirely on our final night. While we enjoyed the beauty of the resort and the island, we hope these service and maintenance issues can be addressed for future guests."

"The large and spacious property sits on top of a hill about 20 minutes outside of Christiansted with magnificent views of the Caribbean Sea on all sides of the property. There is plenty of room to spread out the entire family, lay by the pool, enjoy a shaded area to read a book or make a drink and watch the boats go by on the ocean below. Our favorite spot was on the lookout at the top of the property to have coffee in the morning and enjoy the views. The kitchen and outside grilling area are beautiful and well equipped and ready to cook whatever meals you want at the house and was made very easy for us when we arrived to a well stocked kitchen with drinks and snacks by the host that allowed us to get settled in easily and enjoy time by the full size pool. Highly recommend renting a car as you will definitely need it to get around to the different areas of the island. The host is amazing and was available to answer any questions, provided suggestions around the island and provide any help as we needed it during our stay. Highly recommend renting."

Grapetree Bay Hotel & Villas

"So one thing to remember here is that the property was built in the 60’s and sat for quite a while but with that said the rooms were immaculate…. Some of the resort does needs some updating like the pool which has a liner and sometimes it feels like you are walking on a sponge, but it was clean and well kept. We were a little surprised as the marketing made it seem as though it was a much bigger property than it is. They do serve three different types of food from the same kitchen. The food was excellent from all perspectives and the serving staff was so attentive and concerned that we were happy with the service. Another little issue we were presented with is that the power was being repaired as the facility is fully sustainable but the power went out a couple of times and we had to ask what was happening. It would have been nice if we were notified about the issues prior to arrival. I’m sure they are working to get it back to normal. They are working hard to get the property in order and you have to remember this resort is right on the water and the peace and serenity are quite admirable and we wouldn’t have changed that for anything. Julie was amazing and offered some complimentary things due to the power outages which we were very appreciative of that. She is caring, compassionate and really concerned about your stay and is quite the conversationalist. We enjoyed our conversation together. The entertainment was top notch..! Thank you for a memorable stay Julie"
