Relaxing weekend with good friends

The place to go to get away from it all and relax. All the staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. Only one problem. We were there for two nights and had almost nowhere to store our clothes. Don't know what one will do if you go for a longer period. This is not a complaint, merely a suggestion to look at.

Property staff Michael & Joyce was amazing. Service was excellent. We had dinner at the hotel on our first night which was outstanding. The only issues we had was that we booked breakfast included rate only to be told by the hotel that our booking does not include breakfast. We booked a superior room with a bath due to the fact that I had a back op, the images and information on the website showed the superior room with a bath and shower. We were told the superior room comes without a bath.

Beautiful place but no toilet privacy

Beautiful surroundings and very friendly and helpful staff. Restaurant setting was good with lovely fireplace, but food was average for its price and no wine menu to speak of, just house red or white, no sherry/ports or dom pedros. Breakfast was lovely. Some firewood was provided free of charge, but not enough to keep the room warm all night, so had to pay R35 for extra firewood. One nice feature of the rooms was electric blankets on both sides of the bed, but the modern shower and toilet set up were terrible. The half glass shower pane provided no privacy and let the cold air in, and the worst was the toilet with also a half glass pane - no door, no curtain for privacy and no air freshener.

Beaucoup de progrès à effectuer

Accueil surprenant! : A l'entrée : le vigile vous demande votre passeport malgré la presentation de votre reservation..., ensuite à l'accueil après les formalités d'usage, on vous demande de payer , immediatement , des frais de conservation alors que cette somme pourrait être réglée lors du départ avec les autres dépenses ... et sans aucune piece justificative... Au bar, lorsque l'on commande une boisson, on dérange manifestement la serveuse plus intéressée par son portable que par le client. Repas mediocre avec une carte très reduite. Une chambre qui pourrait etre tres agreable mais des toilettes sans aucune separation ! Point positif : le parc qui permet de grandes promenades. Conclusion : Cet etablissement pourrait être parfait avec le remplacement d'un personnel professionnel , souriant et attentif.
