"Within a short walk from the centre of Chester. Good railway links to both Liverpool and Manchester. Nice relaxed atmosphere."

"Continues to be a deservedly 5* experience albeit the overall style of the property feels pretty dated at this point. Staff are excellent but overwhelmed at busy times."

"Nice rooms, easy parking. Have a night porter who was very helpful. Have stayed before and would be happy to stay again."

"If you want a hotel which you are not going to spend time in and just want a base in the city centre the Angel fits the bill. It is very good value for money, clean, and does a good breakfast. The rooms are functional with bedding and towels that are very clean. Rooms have a TV and coffee / tea facilities. The staff are very helpful and the bar does a good pint! The hotel is just outdated, but as I said very good value for money based on location."

"Room small unclean and breakfast buffet offering was terrible. The location and price were good but they were the only positives."

"There was an issue at check in regarding our family room whereby the expedia booking info hadn't pulled through correctly to the hotel. I would recommend emailing the hotel after booking to reconfirm everything. The family room was a decent size, although towels were stained and the free mini's were half used. The pool facilities were lovely. The pool was a little chilly, but jacuzzi very nice and warm."

"Perfectly situated for attending scooter events"

"Short 2 night stay for a business trip extremely close to the millennium stadium. Really nice hotel, well decorated and great service. Would certainly return"

"Can't fault the place really. The room was nice and spacious, comfortable bed with huge smart TV. Lovely views from outside. Breakfast was nice with lots of choice from full English, bakery, fruit and juices etc. Only bug bare was room service stops orders at 8pm. Not ideal if you fancy a little snack or dessert after dinner. Shop was limited. Spa was very relaxing. Great location. Overall I would recommend and stay again."

"It's a 2 minute walk from Cardiff Central train station and Cardiff Central Bus interchange.. Close to shops and restaurants too."

"Short comfortable stay didn’t use the facilities"

"I’d booked for a room in the Queens Wing however was given a room in the Kings wing. The room was quite dated, the carpet was old and lots of wear and tear. The room and corridors were musty smelling. The reception and bar area have been refurbished since my last visit however the rest of the hotel still needs work!"

"Good breakfast and helpful staff"

"Lovely room, great food and service brilliant!"

"Room was clean, staff were friendly, breakfast buffet was good."
