Unfortunately, the accolades stop there. Because the "retreat" is so remote, there are no other eating options nearby so guests have to rely on the hotel restaurant. "The rooms were very nice and the breakfast was amazing. However, they definitely need to improve on sealing the rooms as there are so many large gaps on every window and door as our kids had so many mosquito bites. They also need to close off the outdoor bathroom as my wife was unable to shower or use the bath tub in private as there was a room directly above the open bathrooms, there were also lots of ants and bugs crawling all over the bath tub so we couldn't enjoy it."

"We had an excellent stay at the three-bedroom villa. The house is better in reality. It is very spacious and comfortable, well furnished, and the pool area is really pleasant bordering rice fields. The property manager and staff are very helpful. The only minus is the beach, which is quite unusable due to rubbish. You can walk on the beach but you cannot really sun bath or swim. I would definitely go back. "
