"The property is exactly as listed! It’s in a very safe area we stayed 5 days. Perfect distance from the beach. The host was very communicative. At the time the washer was out of service and they offered to wash my clothes/fold at 0 extra charge. I had money in one of my pockets that I completely forgot the lady was honest and gave it to me. Really great people."

"Overall, our stay at Barceló San José was okay. The hotel, rooms, and lobby were clean, and the staff was nice. However, the pool area could use better maintenance since there were a lot of leaves and debris, especially in the kiddie pool. The hotel also feels a bit outdated. Breakfast was just okay — it would be nice to have more variety and international food options for guests from different countries."

Clean room and AC that worked tremendously. All the staff was very friendly, even the custodial staff were a delight. A wide variety of included continental breakfast and close to many attractions."

"We stayed the night before our departure. Located close from the airport and right next to the mall. We enjoyed their buffet style breakfast. The shuttle takes you to the airport every 30 minutes which was very convenient for us since we didn’t have a car."

"Pool and breakfast were great. Room was clean, but we had an "adjoining room" - separated by a lockable door and there was no privacy. The people next door were loud and were in and out all night and did not allow for a good sleep. Let the front desk know at check out and they weren't overly concerned. We had a private shuttle booked for our flight in, as the time didn't coordinate with the free shuttle. We waited at the airport for at least 30 minutes with an attendant having to help call...
