"We stayed for two nights in a terrace room expecting a tranquil forest retreat, but it was anything but relaxing weekend. Room 1009 is opposite the indoor pool, so noise from children continued past 23:00 and started again around 7:00. Pool cleaning began at 6:20, and hallway vacuuming shortly after 7:00 added to the disturbance. The hotel is clean, but the atmosphere feels like a youth hostel/water park. The minimalistic room décor resembles a university dorm, and bathrobes cost an extra €10. Overall, not recommended unless you’re travelling with young children, as the hotel is extremely noisy. ⸻ If you need it even shorter, I can tighten it further."

"The property is well equipped with everything you need and as described in the listing. Hosts were friendly and good communication from booking onwards. A good location for exploring North Holland. 10 Min drive to beach and 15 min to Alkmaar. The house is next to the main road, but with good sound proofing windows it did not disturb sleep. Parking was easy with spaces outside on the street. The roof terrace is lovely with views over the countryside (and a windmill in the distance!) Overall a very pleasant stay and would recommend."
