Our 5th trip to The Knotty Lodge

We have been coming up to the lodge every year around Thanksgiving and can’t say enough about how amazing it is! We have everything we need there for a relaxing getaway including a hot tub, fire pit, and close proximity to Mt. Baker. Casaba is an excellent host! We’ll definitely stay again!

Amazing Trip to the Lodge

Upscale Mountain Getaway

Stunning home in a nice woodsy neighborhood, right next to countless hikes and access to the mountains. Dog friendly with tons of amenities; we will definitely be returning.

Another amazing stay!

We have now stayed at the Knotty Lodge several times and can’t imagine a better place to stay in the area. The location is perfect for exploring and the house is beautiful! It has everything you need to enjoy your stay including a well stocked kitchen, fireplace, hot tub, and fire pit. We will definitely be back again next year!!!

This is one of the most incredible rental homes we have stayed at!! Its clean, comfortable, stunning interior! Outdoor firepit and hot tub surrounded by pines. Owners very easy to communicate with.

Magical getaway for Christmas!

The Knotty Lodge was the perfect getaway for Christmas for our family of four. The property was super clean (a biggie for me), cozy and welcoming. From the moment we walked in the door we knew we had picked the perfect place to stay! Quality linens, comfortable beds, lots of towels, the beautiful Christmas tree on the landing, a few treats to eat and drink...so many amazing things! The property owners Csaba and Rosemary were outstanding hosts from their great communication to their care and attention to their guests.We highly recommend this property and we hope to return one day!

Fall colors at Mt. Baker

The Knotty Lodge is amazing! It had everything we needed for our family hiking trip. Super comfortable beds, hot tub and fire place made it so nice after our day hikes. And what an incredibly beautiful time to visit the mountains, the colors of the trees with a fresh dusting of snow, we captured some family photos. We even found some Chantelle mushrooms to take home. We will be back to stay at this spectacular cabin again soon!

A magical stay!

My family and I stayed at the lodge over Christmas. It was beautifully decorated with all things Christmas - including a tree! The hosts also left little surprises which my little boy loved discovering. The property itself is well taken care of and very clean. It's well stocked and has everything you need for a home away from home. Top notch appliances etc. Thank you for making our Christmas away from home magical - we highly recommend to all guests.

Beautiful, Well-Designed Home

This was perfect for an early summer getaway with a group of friends. The property is so well thought out, the landscaping in the backyard especially is so intelligent. The kitchen was really fun to cook in. It was almost painful to leave the hot tub and amazing showers behind. The hosts were super communicative - they had a candle going and music playing for is when we walked in! We would definitely consider booking again in the future!

Perfect

We hosted a small elopement reception for the weekend with a private dinner in the backyard after the ceremony. The backyard was the perfect place to relax and celebrate. The house itself is well-equipped and nicely appointed. It’s about a 45 min drive up to Artist Point. Csaba was very helpful and accommodating. Hoping to check this place out during the winter season!

Great home to stay at!

Knotty Pine was amazing! Quiet, beautiful on the inside and outside. The neighborhood is quiet but cute. Morning walks was nice in the neighborhood looking at all the mountain homes and the river. Highly recommend staying here for anyone with a large family or a bunch of friends wanting to vacation together. We stayed here for our wedding at Mt.Baker. Great location to the mountain and plenty of room for all of us to get ready for the sunrise ceremony. The owners even left us flowers and a gift basket to welcome us in. The only recommendation I have is to include more wash rags and towels for the hot tub.

PNW Spring Break

The owners of Knotty Lodge provide an absolute top level of service and experience. The home was immaculately clean, check in seamless, and communication with the host was rapid and informative. Our family of 4 thoroughly enjoyed our stay (5yr old and 9 yr old children). The kitchen has every item one could possibly need to prepare a meal. The home is equipped with games, books and even a small toy box for young children. The neighborhood is quiet. Mt. Baker is about a 30 minute drive away. The Skagit Valley with the Tulip Festival is about an hour away. Glacier, WA itself is small with limited resources therefore we recommend shopping for groceries and sundries in Burlington (Costco, Target, Haggan’s, Fred Myer Grocery). Overall, you and absolutely cannot go wrong selecting the Knotty Lodge for your accommodation needs. Truly a remarkable home.

Beautiful & Unique Cabin

Our family of 6 adults, one infant, and a dog, stayed here for 10 days for our annual family Christmas getaway. Everyone loved the cabin, the big fireplace, the hot tub, and proximity to Mt. Baker recreation. Csaba was indeed a super host with great communication, thoughtful follow up on how we were doing and even an extra load of firewood when we ran out. We found great local coffee shops nearby including the Wake & Bakery and Grahams in Glacier. Both were top notch for food and service. Crossroads in Maple Falls turned out to be a great little grocery store for picking up little things to cook dinners. The hike near the grocery store to see the falls was great too. Two of us were working throughout the week and the wifi / bandwidth was plenty fast for all of our remote meetings, movie streaming, phones, etc. If Mt Baker is your destination then definitely consider this property, you won't be disappointed. The construction of the interior of the cabin is very fun and uniquely done, there are little treasures to be found in cubby holes all over the cabin so my wife left a handmade Christmas ornament to be found by future guests.

Wonderful outdoor spaces--book it!

We loved the Knotty Lodge. Our family (four of us--with an active 15 year old son and introverted 19 year old daughter) were there for almost a week at the end of July. We were looking for a place with nice outdoor space and it was perfect. Sure the environment itself is beautiful but it is the way the owners created the outdoor spaces which made it so lovely. As we walked through the quiet neighborhood, we took notice of other outdoor spaces and never saw one so cared for and thoughtfully designed. There are multiple sitting areas--picnic table, fire pit, patio table & chaise lounger. We also liked that there are some walking trails in the neighborhood next to the creek/river. We spent one day just enjoying that area--playing in the water, foraging thimble berries, and just enjoying the scenery. Another day when it was drizzling, my husband and I just enjoyed walking by the river when the kids wanted to stay in. The house itself was beautiful and thoughtfully furnished--throw blankets, plenty of towels & hooks to hang them, travel mugs for coffee on the drive to Mt Baker and even a daypack available for use. It was so comfortable in every way allowing us to really relax. A few FYIs: you likely need a book light for non-electronic reading as the house has only one reading lamp (loft), the bar is the only indoor dining space, even with the very well equipped kitchen--for specific items you might verify or bring it and you can also see Knotty Lodge at "HeirBee&Bee."

Amazing Retreat!

Our family has been visiting Mount Baker and Glacier area for the last two decades and the Knotty lodge is the best VRBO out there. The owners go out of their way to make our stay enjoyable year after year. We really appreciate them and all their hard work on maintaining their beautiful home.

Stunning mountain retreat!

The Knotty Lodge is absolutely stunning, way nicer than the photos. The location is perfect, close to recreation and hiking and on a very quiet spacious lot tucked into the Glacier Springs neighborhood. We enjoyed the local hikes, restaurants and swimming hole. The dogs had a wonderful stay with dog beds and bowls provided. Kids had such a great time playing outside and they spent little time on there devices, however the wifi was super fast. Can’t wait to come back in the winter to ski.

Perfect Ski House

My husband, friends and I had the best time skiing at Mt. Baker and staying at the Knotty Lodge this past weekend! Complete with a fireplace, hot tub, comfortable beds and a stocked kitchen, totally perfect.
