This is a beautiful hidden treasure of a spot. The staff was fabulous and would definitely recommend BEVL to any bird watcher (new or experienced). Lenny was a delightful guide full of information and a ton of patience. This place even has shoe rags for anyone that ends up with yucky hiking boots

Great for birders. Easy access to lagoon and major birding trail. The lodge can setup boat tour, pre-breakfast birding tour and one to savannah pine forest. All lead by knowledgeable local naturalists. Meals are balanced with some local flair. Staff are very helpful and friendly.
