This hotel is not meant for ppl to stay in cuz there's alot of fungus & molds on the walls. It will make ppl sick if staying in there for too long. Even though it is situated in a good location, it is not recommended to anyone to stay here. Oh, don't let the picture fool you because the hotel room looks completely different.
Hotel is in center of historical areaand short walk to most beautiful beach on islandn

Good clean budget hotel close to beach
Accommodation here is fairly basic, but our ground floor "deluxe" room was large, clean and airy, if a little Spartan, with a big window looking directly across the (normally empty) road to the beach.
Hot water was intermittent, but the occasional tepid shower was no problem in the hot weather. Wi-if was fine, no English or other European language channels on TV. No tea or coffee making facilities were provided on arrival, but staff happily gave us an electric kettle when asked. Staff were very nice, but had very little English so communication was limited. This was true wherever we went on the island. No local map provided - we got one from a tour agent.
Quite good breakfast (charged extra) in the attached restaurant, where the very friendly staff do speak pretty good English. The main reason for staying here, apart from price, is that because it's not a resort it's much easier to make your own arrangements about where to eat, hire your motorbike or book a boat trip, and generally interact with the locals. The island is a very special and beautiful place, just about to be submerged in a rash of hideous new development, and I think it's well worth taking the rough with the smooth to get a better feeling of what local life is like.
Con Dao was a little bit disappointing, not many places to eat maybe due to the Chinese new year celebrations we were told. It's described as a paradisiacal island but we found it a bit dirty with lots of rubbish everywhere, however the beach next to the airport was wonderful, rent some motobikes and explore.
Clean bed, bath room is not.
Difficult communication, but the friendly staffs is trying to help me.
Some rooms have windows facing the hallway side.

this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel,so you basically get what you paid for but i have to say that the staffs there were great, they were very helpful even with their limited english, well if you're on a budget, you might want to consider it.just remember do your research before you make any plans, there's not much to do on the island and the flights are unreliable, sudden cancellations are not uncommon and the heavy presence of the military doesn't really help make this place a holiday retreat.
