Ground floor: exposed stone lounge room with fireplace opening onto a south-facing veranda. Equipped kitchen (oven, dishwasher and washing machine).

Large attic bedroom upstairs (2 single beds 90cm). Outdoor terrace with barbecue, garden furniture and deckchairs in a pretty garden.

The gite "le verger" is ideally placed to discover the landing beaches (Omaha Beach, Longues Sur Mer, Arromanches Les Bains).
The pretty medieval town of Bayeux and its famous "Bayeux Tapestry", as well as the small fishing port of Port En Bessin and its fish market are a few kilometers away.

Great location, beautiful house

We based ourselves in this wonderful old stone house and took day trips to Mont St. Michel, Etretat, Denan, as well as, of course, the D-day sights. It was always a joy to come back to this house after exploring beautiful Normandy.

The holiday home is simply fantastic. We had a great time there with our children. The location between meadows with apple trees is beautiful. It's not far to the beach. There is also a lot to see in the area, especially for those interested in history. For the children there was a climbing park and an amusement park less than 1 hour's drive away.

Wunderschön renoviertes altes Haus

...in traumhafter Umgebung. Der Blick aus dem Wintergarten in die Apfelplantage ist herrlich! Es gibt tolle Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung. Alexandra ist eine sehr nette Vermieterin, alles hat prima geklappt. Wir kommen gerne wieder, vielen Dank!

Tolles Häuschen in guter Lage

Zum dritten Mal in der Normandie u. hier das beste Ferienhaus gefunden! Schlafzimmer unten u. oben hell u.modern eingerichtet. Die Matratzen der Einzelbetten oben könnten etwas weicher sein, allerdings ein persönliches Empfinden. Der große Wohnraum im Erdgeschoß in der für die Gegend typischen Bauweise mit Kamin, Ess-und schönem Fernsehbereich. Nach unseren Feststellungen tatsächlich tierhaarfrei, das hatten wir leider auch schon anders. Bei warmen Wetter bleibt es unten kühl wenn alle Rolläden und die Vorhänge geschlossen bleiben, oben lässt sich abdunkeln und mit drei Fenstern für Belüftung sorgen. WC u.Bad sauber und groß genug. Der Wintergarten mit Zugang zu Terrasse+ Grill, großen Fenstern, moderner Sitzecke und zweitem Essbereich wurde von uns täglich zum quasi-draußen-Sitzen genutzt, wenn auf der Terrasse zu kühl war.(Wetter war wechselhaft). Die Küche und der Geschirr-Schrank sind mehr als komplett eingerichtet, sogar mit Extra-Gefrierschrank. Auf dem Gasherd kocht es sich ähnlich wie auf Induktionsherd, haben ihn fast täglich genutzt. Viele Töpfe und Pfannen vorhanden, auch sonst alles was man benötigt. Bedienungs-Anleitungen sind vorhanden als es ein Problem mit dem Geschirrspüler gab, haben Alexandra und ihr Bruder dieses gleich behoben. Beide sind gut per Telefon und Mail erreichbar und wirklich sehr nett und hilfsbereit...Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist etwas versteckt, ein zusätzliches Schild wäre evtl. hilfreich. Traumhafte Hortensien!

Eine Wohlfühlwoche

Zum zweiten Mal haben wir den Aufenthalt im "verger" genossen. Das gut ausgestattete, saubere Haus mit einem eigenen Charme gewinnt zusätzlich durch die gepflegten Obstwiesen, in die es eingebettet ist. Mahlzeiten haben wir vornehmlich im Wintergarten eingenommen, von wo aus wir spät abends sogar ein Reh beobachten konnten. Alexandra ist eine sehr sympathische Vermieterin, die am Wohl ihrer Gäste sehr interessiert ist. Die Umgebung lädt sowohl zu ausgedehnten Strandwanderungen als auch zu Museumsbesuchen rund um den d-day ein. Einkaufsgelegenheiten und Restaurants gibt es im ca.15 Autominuten entfernten Port en Bessin genügend. Wir kommen sicherlich wieder! .

Ankommen und wohlfühlen

Wir haben in diesem ruhig gelegenen Häuschen eine völlig gelungene Urlaubswoche verbracht. Die Ausstattung des Hauses lässt keinerlei Wünsche offen, an alles ist gedacht. Die Inneneinrichtung ist hell und gemütlich, schöner noch als im Internet wiedergegeben. der Wintergarten mit Blick auf eine weitläufige Obstbaumwiese wurde von uns täglich genutzt. Der nahegelegene Omaha-Beach ermöglicht endlose Strandwanderungen auf einem fantastischen Sandstrand. Die zahlreichen Museen und Erinnerungsstätten bieten Gelegenheit, die historischen Kenntnisse über den d-day vor Ort aufzufrischen. Und Alexandra ist eine sehr sympathische, hilfsbereite Vermieterin, die mit zahlreichen Informationen ind Tipps aufwartet. Danke für diese Gastfreundschaft!

Wunderschönes Ferienhaus

Das Ferienhaus liegt wunderschön und ist für eine Familie mit 2 Kindern bestens geeignet. Wir haben hier eine tolle Woche mit wunderschönem Oktoberwetter verbracht. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, uns fehlte es an nichts. Im Wohnzimmer mit dem Kamin und auch in dem schönen Wintergarten kann man gemütlich sitzen und den Ausblick auf die schöne Obstwiese genießen. Die Vermieterin Alexandra und auch ihr Bruder Davide haben uns sehr herzlich empfangen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sicher wieder in diese tolle Region von Frankreich, die so viel Abwechslung zu bieten hat.

Wir haben ein perfekt eingerichtetes, äußerst sauberes Ferienhaus vorgefunden, das exakt der Beschreibung entsprach. Ruhig gelegen - trotzdem nicht weit zum Strand

Wir verbrachten eine sehr schöne und entspannende Woche in dem Ferienhaus. Es ist ruhig gelegen mit großem Garten, so dass die Kinder viel Platz zum Spielen hatten. Es hat nichts gefehlt im Haus Der Strand ist 1,8km entfernt und gut zu Fuß zu erreichen.

We werden vriendelijk ontvangen in dit geweldige huis met alle comfort. We hebben bij hitte genoten van het de koelte in huis en de schaduw in de boomgaard. En als het koeler werd zit je in de heerlijke veranda alsof je buiten zit. De omgeving met het mooie strand, de steden Carentan, Bayeux en St. Lo. En niet te vergeten de zondagsmarkt in Port-en-Bessin-Huppain. Pointe du Hoc en het Amerikaans kerkhof waren zeer indrukwekkend. Bedankt Alexandra !

En un seul mot : super. Super gîte, super accueil, superbes excursions.

Sur des lieux chargés d'histoire à quelques pas de la plage d'Omaha Beach, on découvre que ce gîte avait été occupé par des soldats américains. Outre son "âme", le gîte est très, très agréable avec tout le nécessaire pour vous faire passer un "super" et agréable séjour. Merci à Madame Lemaire.
