Tudo no carpete. Bem espaçoso, principalmente o quarto do casal.

Checks the boxes for a brief stay.
The hotel is a bit aged, but checks all the boxes for a quick overnight in Coimbra. Pleasant front desk, literally across the street from train station A, and tidy.
A great retro hotel without trying to be one. Very close to the train station and within walking distance of the lower and upper old town. Breakfast is typical continental. Reception staff spoke English and were helpfull. Rooms had twin beds only.
Convenient location (very). Lovely 'drawing room' with plenty of seating and a few library tables for work space. Adequate rooms and bathrooms. Very nice buffet breakfast with large room, plenty of seating again. My bed was right next to the train station (blue building, left in photo) and I did not hear a thing besides some traffic noise which drops off at night. Easy walk into historic parts of city.
Prima hotel. Dicht bij station en centrum. Goede service. Goede en schone kamer.

This hotel is definitely in need of a renovation, as many people have said in their reviews. The carpets in the hallways are stained, it needs a new coat of paint, the sound proofing really is bad, and even though they seem to be going for the Retro 1950s look and service, a general update could allow them to maintain the retro look while improving their standards.
Many reviews complained about the internet, but I found it fast, easy to sign into, and consistent. Perhaps they’ve fixed it? Now you probably have to sign into different nodes on different floors, but the password was the same for all making it easy.
The pillows are definitely a single item where they should go out and buy new ones. A quick fix to a big problem. My two were “flat as a pancake”, even after I stacked them up one on top of the other.
The staff were nice and helpful, the room and bathroom spotlessly clean, the hotel mostly filled with Portuguese guests lent to the feeling that I’m in Portugal, but if they improved the place, they would be in a better position to profit from Portugal’s tourist boom.

An old hotel offering nice service and excellent breakfast.

Nice room, comfortable bed, nice view, shops were near. I was there on march and outside was cold..but inside was very warm :D i was very pleased with my room.
