Ferry Motel

Great location close to the city. Parking outside the motel door was great. The unit we had was ideal for a family group and the electric blanket on the bed was a nice touch.

Ferry motel review

Pretty standard motel facilities. Good for families as the rooms accommodate more pax. Price was ok but does not come with a.c./ heat pump or fan.No proper closet or place to hang clothes.No tissue box supplied. Ordered room on hotels.com , payment indicated to be cash on arrival but the hotel took the liberty to deduct my credit card even before I arrived. However the counter lady was most helpful and accommodating.

Didnt even check in. Outside of the property is run down and people hanging out in front were less than savoury. In the 5 mins we were parked out front we had someone bang on our window to know if we were parking our vehicle there. Felt unsafe and did not want to bring my chilredn into a property where i didnt feel safe. Ended up finding somewhere else.

Not very well secured.

I had an intruder knocking on my door around 2.30 am. there were some young guys in the unit next door drinking, smoking and making noise in the evening which was really nuisance.

Get what you pay for

Motel decor and furnishings dated and in poor condition. Room smelt of cigarette smoke and carpet had cigarette burns in the carpet. Some rooms appeared to have. Permanent tenants who had visitors during all hours of the night. In future will inspect facilities before making payment.

Old, Dirty, Smelly

I booked a 1 night stay in the one bedroom unit (number 4). First when I got the key the Chinese man opened the door and shoulder barged me out. then when I opened the unit door I was overpowered buy a smell of Sulfur/rotten eggs like someone let one rip with a serious stomach virus. I'm pretty sure the smell was coming from the vent in the bathroom as the smell got worse when I turned the light on and the fan came on automatic. Next was the old outdated look of the unit, plus it wasn't as clean as other motels I've been in. There was fat splatters all up the kitchen wall, the blinds were black at the top with either mold or dirt. It felt really icky and made my skin crawl the whole time I was there. I would not stay there again or recommend it to anyone.

Unpleasant stay

It was totally an unpleasant and disgusting stay. Please rethink your stay with this hotel as you won't want to go through the trauma of being accused of damaging his already old and damaged room facilities. Please do not be a victim like me to fork out money for the owner's repair work. Remember to select your hotel wisely and enjoy your wonderful trip. As for me, I had a bad time because of the wrongful dispute with the owner.

Convenient location , the property needs facelift

The bed was very low and uncomfortable. The kitchen ware were of poor standard and the general getup was poor. The shower was difficult to manage.

BOOKED IT DRUNK WORST MISTAKE OF THE TRIP

First off it is actually shaped like a Ferry boat.. red flag right there. Second of all it is dark, dirty, cold, and scary. The bathrooms are atrocious and very hostel like but so much worse. We made dinner there one night and the staff left our dishes out and only made the bed. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND.

Meh.

Stayed for one night on a mother daughter trip. The room was rather a disappointment. The door was hard to lock. Also, the room was facing a rather busy street and the sound of cars passing wasn't blocked by the rather thin walls (my mother kept waking up in the night because of it). Upside was that there was good hot water for the showers and the heater for the room was good; it was rather cheap so that's another upside. We only stayed one night so it was bearable but i dont know if I could stay beyond that.
