Totoco Eco Resort

". While the property is beautiful, our experience raised serious concerns. Prior to arrival, we clearly informed Totoco Lodge that our son has a severe peanut allergy. Despite this, a meal was served with peanuts without our knowledge, causing an anaphylactic reaction that required an EpiPen. Given the remote location, medical care was over an hour away. We were also disappointed that the meal was not removed from our bill after the incident. Guests should also know that this is more of an eco-lodge/camping experience than a resort. Toiletries are not provided, so come prepared. The Wednesday “Dinner Under the Sky” event was also very expensive and, in our opinion, not worth the cost"

"The property is very intimately set up the room that I got had the hot tub and the balcony connected, which was very nice. The only thing that I had an issue with was, I guess the room hadn’t been used in a little while so there was a a few small bugs that were in the bed and when I turned the ceiling fan on a few of them fell from the ceiling fan and because of the heat, the power kept going off and it stayed off for quite a while in the middle of the night, which caused us to be extremely hot, but the owner did go get gas for his backup generator and had this cooled off by early morning, and the power came back on a few hours later"
