La Canasta (El Zonte): Highly Recommended Lodge A comfortable, well-equipped stay with a relaxed lodge atmosphere—quieter and less chaotic than El Tunco. ---Room & Bath: Single private room with powerful A/C. Spacious shared bathroom (shared with only one other room) including a sink, toilet, and dedicated changing/storage area. ---Communal Kitchen: 24/7 access inside an open-air palapa. Features a gas stove, oven, toaster oven, huge sink, cookware, your own pantry bin, and an assigned fridge (no microwave). ---Work & Relax: Dedicated chill/co-working palapa equipped with tables, chairs, hammocks, lighting, and power outlets. The place is excellent. I enjoy my stay. The place it's amazing. The rooms are great. The staff were very nice and friendly. The Hostal La Canasta t's a jewel in the area. I highly recommend.

We had the bad luck to come on a day with a night party right next to our room going on until 3am - By the way, the place is nice and quiet, next to the beach.

We booked last minute. Small and okay to stay.. beware. There is no hot water but that might be normal on the lower end hotels in that part of El Salvador. Restaurant on site. Great service .....food and drinks nice and cheap. You could walk to the beach in 3 or 4 minutes but really nothing there at night time.
