Family Wedding

Overall property was excellent - very clean, comfortable beds, fantastic location! Since rented entire home wish common space a bit more comfortable for hanging out but all in all great stay.

Lovely place!

I rented all 5 rooms for my family to stay in for an extended family wedding. Absolutely loved my choice -- management was responsive and kind, every room was spotless and comfortable, and the common room was nice to have! Parking turned out to be quite easy as well. Wonderful stay!

Amazing location and property

Arriving with adult children and their partners, we were so pleased to see that every room had its own everything—-bathroom, coffee, fridge, microwave and very cool art. Common areas were comfortable and welcoming. Location is literally 1 block from the mall. Highly recommend!

Great for bachelorette weekend!

We really enjoyed our stay for my bachelorette party! The location was phenomenal and the house was great and super clean. However, we couldn’t figure out how to work the outdoor fire pit and when I asked the host they said it was broken. We were really looking forward to that part of the house so we were super disappointed, but the rest was amazing!

Birthday get-away with siblings

Perfect for our group of 3 couples. Location is great for access to the adorable downtown mall and easy to get to hikes, vineyards, breweries, Monticello, etc. Bang restaurant next door was never loud. The only negative was the lack of a small sink/dish soap. We just used one of the empty bedrooms as our ‘kitchen’ space. Only a minor inconvenience. We had long and adventurous days and slept beautifully in the comfortable beds. Great spot!

Rose Jean House

Lovely house and great location. Our only caveat/wish - was there had been a sink or a wet bar in the common room to make entertaining a bit easier. We ate next door at Bang! which was delicious on our first night there. Overall, a wonderful location, beautiful bedrooms and great outdoor entertaining space. We highly recommend a stay there for vistors to Charlottesville.

amazing property

this was one of the best rentals we could’ve chosen for our New Year’s Eve family and friends gathering for a show at the Jefferson in Charlottesville. The house is so centrally located and accessible to walking the mall. We rented out the entire five rooms which was perfect for our stay - plenty of room for everyone! Loved the amazing back yard with big long, picnic table and gas fire pits. Very clean and exceptional location. Minimalist decor is perfect. Loved everything about it.

Overall would recommend

Was very spacious and clean. Didn't realize the 5th room was only accessible from outside/back of the house. Had a cleaning crew walk in while we were there claiming they didn't know we would be there - but they claimed it was already clean and left. Kind of threw us off but wasn't sure what to do. Parking was kind of a pain - watched 2 hit and runs in the paid parking lot across the street (where we had to park). Overall though, I would recommend.

Beware… no kitchen

This property was listed as great for large groups, dinner parties, events, yet there was no specific mention that the house does not have a kitchen, including no refrigerator, stove, sink, or any dishes. It’s just 4 rooms with individual bathrooms and mini fridges in each room. I have to say the 3rd party communication was very responsive and helpful. The property is also in an amazing location right next to the downtown mall. So if you don’t mind not having a kitchen, this place is great!

Great location surrounded by restaurants and shops at the Downtown Mall, as well as yummy restaurant (Bang) next door. All 5 rooms were comfy and clean and good sized. The common area/parlor is nice with lots of outlets and different seating options. For groups like ours (reunion of college pals) it would have been nice to have a powder room, wet bar and fridge, to avoid having to use one couple's bathroom as the 'common bathroom'; and to avoid having to spread out our tailgate food amongst each room's mini-fridge.I didn’t actually realize there was no kitchen until my friend pointed out she didn’t see a fridge/sink in the online pics of the parlor Luckily weather was fabulous so we all brought coolers to act as a large fridge outside on the patio. The outdoor space is awesome with lots of seating which was great for our group. Unfortunately, the 2 centrally featured fire pits were not functional which was very disappointing. In addition to that the bistro lights were not working night one so we ended up sitting inside the parlor vs sitting out in the darkness. Thankfully, the bistro lights were fixed next day and additional rechargeable lamps were provided as a back-up. We lucked out with the fantastic stretch of weather but imagine it would have been crowded and less comfortable if we all had to be inside the parlor without a common area TV, wet bar or powder room. All in all, and despite some inconveniences, it's a fantastic property and I would stay there again.
