This is a very cute little place out in the woods. It is attached to the larger rental, but it has a private entrance. It is perfect for two people and a pet if you bring one (we didn’t). You do hear the other guest walking around a little, but it wasn’t bothersome. It is a rustic little place with a cabin feel. It was really nice to have coffee out on the little porch. The bed was comfortable. The host was very communicative. We had a great time!
Trees, crunchy fallen leaves, a very quiet retreat from Chapel Hill. We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was provided for our use, even the French press coffee maker and coffee. Everything was at our fingertips. This annex attached to the main house was filled with interesting art.
The space is exactly as advertised, and perfect for my solo getaway! I enjoyed watching the birds in the morning. The porch is a good size and offers plenty of privacy. The heaters worked well, and the kitchen was stocked with coffee, creamer, and tea. The toaster oven and microwave made simple meals easy. There was a family staying in the main house but they were very quiet.
It was everything I needed for my brief vacation in North Carolina. As someone who enjoys his time alone, having a house in the woods all to myself was incredibly enjoyable. The rain and the upstairs neighbors were a bit loud at night and in the morning, but they were mostly negligible issues. I still had a great time.
Secluded setting in the woods, couldn’t see (or hear) any neighbors. I was there four nights. The first night there were people staying in the larger house connected to my “suite.” You could hear them talking and laughing and walking up and down the stairs. However, the next three days house was empty. And the nights were totally silent, waking up only to the sound of birds in the morning.
Super clean and comfortable, hot coffee on the porch in my pajamas, sweet.
We were going to a late UNC game, and wanted to stay overnight afterwards since we live 1.5 hours away. This property was affordable, fun and artsy, and we saw a deer!
Our stay was wonderful! The house was the perfect size for our two kids, my husband and I. We loved that we could also have our dog with us. We took hikes around the property, and came back to cook dinner and watch a movie. The property is beautiful. Sally was very nice, willing to help, and communication was great.
Place is nothing like photos advertising the booking. Looks like years of neglect. Overgrown, spiderwebs everywhere - inside and out. No hot water, no internet, "AC" doesn't work, garbage overflowing, derelict surroundings. No approach - just drop into the ditch, drive "trail" partially covered in water. Hostess (a realtor) clearly a grifter banking on the reputation of VRBO. Gaslighting a place is "charming" to avoid accountability to provide for the health, safety, and comfort of guests is to be a fraud.
Our first night there was really difficult. The bed is very hard and it was a very cold night and we didn’t know how to really run the heater in the apartment. Our second night was better once we had things figured out.
Could not get the wall heater in the bedroom to work. Could not get the television to work. The other wall heater didn't look safe surface got to hot to touch

was in a great location
We liked this house and would stay there again. It was very spacious and the location was great for us. The owners were very nice and answered all our questions very promptly. I would recommend this! 5 stars!
If your looking for views and quiet this is the place for you
No issues, lots of wildlife like deer, rabbits, birds chirping, very relaxing environment. We used it as a home base to hit Yellowstone, grand Teton, crystal park, Virginia city.
The owners were very responsive and we had a great experience.
This beautiful home is in a nice private location with a wonderfully responsive property manager. Had to do a some deep cleaning to feel comfortable, but that was for my peace of mind. A lot of property to hike on and enjoy.
We had a wonderful time in spite of the weather which consisted of mainly snow. The snow was beautiful and we enjoyed watching the wildlife that came as a result. The house was very clean, comfortable, quiet and came with everything we needed. Our contact with the property managers was very pleasant. Sally even brought us a quart of half and half to have with our coffee on our first morning there. I would certainly recommend this site for anyone who wishes to stay in that area.
