This stay was adequate, the room was really warm and that was good . The staff good and helpful but the initial good and wide choice of Gluten Free food for breakfast did not materialise as there was no GF cereals, no GF black and white puddings and just white bread- no choice. This disappointing as I has requested same when booking and was assured that a GF diet would be catered for . My GF needs are a dietary must -not just a choice or a "fad" as I have zero tolerance of gluten .

Was on top floor Very noisy rattling sound from ceiling .
Second time staying here on Business and again wonderful stay.
These guys know how to provide a good bathtub and comfortable bed with spacial room to work. ;)
Despite a hiccup at check in, not the fault of hotel they had just not got the booking request from hotels.com but I had got the confirmation email. The lady at reception did not delay in getting me to my room as quick as possible. Look forward to coming back soon.
Nice hotel lovely spacious room nice expensive especially as no breakfast included stayed here for a dance function room lovely but floor very sticky nd not suitable for dancing
It is clean. Receptioist welcomed me. I had sandwich and tea in bar later with some friends. who had drinks. No serviette was provided to me. The room was very clean and a nice fresh breeze from lovely gardens. It does have a rather cold
feeling in reception area . However it would be very useful to have a little tiny soap in bathroom for hand wash when guests arrive , instead of having to open a suitcase immediately to get our own washbag.

Small changes would make a big difference
Very nice location, room and staff. I would have expected air-conditioning or a mini fridge in the room with temperatures in the mid twenties and if you want a glass of ice you have to spend a minimum of 5 Euro at the bar. My view of the mountains was obscured by tall grass and weeds in the roof gutters. Nice atmosphere apart from hearing the chef shouting at his assistants! The bathroom needs a little work. All in all an enjoyable stay
We've stayed at the Celbridge many times. Loved this stay, again. Prefer the upstairs breakfast room to the current breakfast in the downstairs room. For example, the breakfast staff were great but the tea and coffee are now from dispensers, a step down. But overall still a lovely place to stay. Near Dublin, but rural.
The water fountain is a pleasant sight first thing in the morning also at night.

Poor start, reasonable finish.
Room wasn’t ready, then room smelled when we did get it. Not even a headboard on the bed! Got moved to another room. Far better room.still needs a bit of attention. Breakfast very good.
Antique charm. [50 word minimum! Goodness is brevity frowned upon these days?]

Welcoming and friendly- in need of makeover
We arrived before check in time and the staff were incredibly helpful and found us a room we could go into straight away. Lovely large comfortable room. Breakfast ‘tired’ as was the decor - needs a makeover! Lifts broken and could have been helpful for offer of help with cases. At all times and places staff friendly and helpful.
Heating was sporadic, room not vacuumed, smoking area was in the entrance lobby so we had to go past smokers each time we went in or out. Elevator doors closed so fast that it knocked me backwards when I tried to get on, breakfast in bed was 15 mins late and I had to call to find out where it was. Bar staff scooped ice from the ice machine with both their hands and with glasses, but not with the ice scoop.
Excellent place and environment. A rather friendly place ,a traditional mansion ,spacious and bringing nice memories from older times.
Rooms very convenient and bar with good food and ale.
Prices analogous to the facilities provided.
Very difficult to find as the road did not show up on the GPS & later discovered it was not on the road on our paper work! Had to ask a local person for directions!
Our room and in particular our bed was in very poor condition with the base being broken and both mattress needing badly replaced. The grout was missing from lots of tiles in the bathroom with a number broken or loose, the shower head was also broken. The rooms are a good size but do need an update now. The breakfast was good with great selection available and the hotel looks nice from the front and inside general areas. It was clean and the staff where polite and friendly.
