This is an overall great hotel. Is friendly family-owned and has a lot of things to enjoy around it. It's one of the better hotels in the area. The staff is wonderful.

Good choice

Older building our tub shower had a really weird design had to climb literally into it balmy very nice. Pretty small room service is good. Staff is good. Breakfast is very simple courteous quick tasty. This is a good choice for the money. You can’t get much closer to the beach and it’s well maintained the family has Two right there in Boca grande and a third somewhere else. It’s well run safe clean. It’s a good choice. The AC works good. The TV works good. There’s plenty of hot water.

A big turn down of this hotel is the elevator… it is located between floors… you either have to go down or up and the stairs are very narrow and angled which make it difficult to carry the luggage. Location is fantastic, 2 mins walking to the beach and close to everything. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the lady that sell the tours is very efficient and accommodating. Decent size room with balcony but the washroom wasn’t clean properly, the bottom of the bathtub and the toilet needs to be looked after. Dated and worn out key holder felt dirty. You have to drop off the key at the counter every time you leave the building. They do an inventory of the room at check in /out.

Budget Friendly hotel in Boca Grande

This is a no frills hotel very close to the beach & restaurants. It is very dated, but if you are on a budget and planning to spend your days on the beach or out exploring, then this could be a good fit. I stayed here w/ my 13 yr old daughter, and overall we felt safe. AC's work great.The hotel doesn't seem to have had many renovations over the years except the elevator, but the design is a little strange. You need to take half a flight of stairs up to get on the elevator and another half flight up or down to reach your floor. With heavy luggage, it is a complete pain. The rooms are VERY basic! You will not find amenities such as little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, lotion, etc. There is a soap and shampoo dispenser, I wasn't desperate enough to try it. At first I found the reception staff to be less than helpful, but the day staff changed my mind. The kitchen staff is amazing and very accommodating, including always being willing to make me a cafe con leche outside their normal breakfast hours (I am an early riser). They serve a complimentary typical costeño breakfast ( fruit slices, fresh squeezed fruit juice, eggs made how you like, or ham & cheese sandwich, or pancakes, etc). The nearby beaches are walking distance and you can rent beach towels from the hotel. Beware of ANNOYING vendors. You will be constantly accosted at all times, not just on the beach. Buy island excursions directly Muelle de la bodequita or w/ the in house travel company. Research before visiting

Nice hotel, close to the beach

Helpful staff, nice hotel for the price. The rooms were big and comfortable. The jacuzzi is small but ok because of the proximity of the hotel to the beach. Good breakfast
