Lovely stay - felt like staying in a rich aunt’s house in a quaint village in the rolling hills of Spain. Top notch staff, breakfast was VERY tasty too! The pool and rooftop area were really relaxing - loved it!

Great stay at Castillo Ines Maria

We enjoyed a short stay at Castillo Ines Maria. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfasts (which change daily) were delicious and filling. The hotel is small and away from the main tourist sights, so pleasingly quiet and peaceful at night. It is a short walk to the walled city/centro historico, but be aware it can be difficult to cross the busy arterial road which passes between the street the hotel is on and the walled city.

We loved our stay at this adorable boutique hotel. It is well-run, safe, and has great amenities. The breakfast is outstanding, staff are extremely polite and helpful, and the room was perfect. It's a very quick walk to the old walled city of Cartagena, and it is actually nice to stay outside of that area to get a break from the constant bombardment of people trying to sell you something. The pool is beautiful, and the water appears to be ionizer-conditioned, which means it has less chlorine needed to keep it clean. It's nice to not smell like chlorine after swimming. The hotel also facilitated us getting some laundry done through a contract service and even stored our clean clothes when it hadn't arrived on time for our 2-day trip to the Rosario Islands.

The staff treated me as I was part of their Family member. I wish to express my gratitude to a few of the staff members as follows; Miguel, Elmer, Gregoria and Nichol. On my last day, a couple of staff members were on their day off for rest and were filled by new staff with the same atmosphere of Family Oriented members. On my nest trip back to Cartagena, I will be sleeping in this Family Atmosphere on my return trip. Thank you Staff for making my stay in Hotel Boutique Castillo Ines Maria a memoriable stay. I spent just one night here and it was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful when I arrived very late from the airport. It's a pretty older house in an accessible neighborhood (although the immediate surrounding streets aren't very charming.) Breakfast in the courtyard (included) was very pleasant. One small complaint: there is no way to adjust the temperature of the water in the shower. It was hot -- it's the tropics! -- so I didn't mind. But it would be helpful to get that fixed. Overall -- good value for money.

We stayed at this hotel twice on our trip to Colombia. Overall the experience was pleasant. The location of the hotel is great — quiet neighborhood and a short walking distance to the walled city. The staff was friendly. Unfortunately, my partner fell sick and had a rough night before our last day in Colombia. He spent almost the whole morning sleeping. So I requested a late checkout at noon, instead of at 11am. I was told we would pay 100,000 pesos (~$25) for the extra hour in the room. I also read on a card that storing luggages at the hotel would accumulate fees daily too. We decided to just pack up and leave instead of paying $25. I can’t say if their policy on extra fees was right or wrong. It’s just something other travelers need to be aware of.

Best Vacay Spot in the Country!!!

HOLY MOLY!!!! We found a diamond in the rough, or should I say, a Diamond in plain view!!! This place is hands down the most comfortable, accommodating, enjoyable, and did I mention scenic hotel/inn that you can find in Cartagena. The staff and the view from the second and third floors are too die for!!! To begin the vacation Juan David and Andres welcomed myself and my fiance with open arms and the hospitality never ceased to stop. They constantly checked-in with us, they were never a stone's throw away when we needed help or advice on where to go, visit, eat or party. Elvis and Elmer were angels that saved us time and time again. They always made sure that we were well taken care of and always made sure that where ever we went, we were safe and not in harms way. The entire staff and property is like a HEAVEN OASIS! Our breaths' were constantly taken with every morning that passed. To say that we will return, IS AN UNDERSTATeMENT! The care, compassion, and family atmosphere that the entire property consistently provided is barn none. Can't wait to celebrate with OUR Cartagena family in the near future. Juan David, Andres, Elvis, and Elmer are the mainstays that will always have a special place in our hearts with how they made us feel welcomed and consistently comfortable with whatever request, question, and accommodation that we had. THIS IS OUR SECOND HOME AND WE ARE FOREVER GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING THAT THE STAFF AND HOTEL DID.

Abbiamo prenotato in questo hotel due notti spinti dalle ottime recensioni che ha sui vari siti. L’hotel è a poche centinaia di metri dalle mura di Cartagena ed il centro si raggiunge facilmente. Il personale è molto gentile e disponibile, sempre sorridente. Purtroppo però la struttura necessiterebbe di una rinnovo completo: i mobili sono vecchi (ovviamente è un’opinione personale ma non incontravano minimamente i nostri gusti), la stanza era pulita ma con pareti scrostate, tra la zona lavandino e il letto c’erano al massimo due metri privi di porta. Inoltre la zona wc e quella doccia erano in comunicazione con la zona letto poiché la loro porta non raggiunge il soffitto. Non abbiamo usufruito della piscina poiché anche quella si presenta male ed al nostro arrivo uno dei due lettini giaceva rotto. Per la colazione non si ha scelta: uova. Anche questa decisamente squallida, viene servita nella zona comune adiacente alla piscina dove si muore di caldo e con gli uccelli che beccano sul tavolo. Sicuramente ha prezzi inferiori rispetto agli hotel nelle mura ma questo non giustifica lo stato di decadenza in cui vengono accolti gli ospiti.

Gute Lage zur Ciudad Amurallada, zu Fuß ca. 10 Minuten, Taxi liegt bei 3 - 4 € pro Fahrt. Schön ausgestattetes und sauberes Zimmer. Die Innenausstattung des ganzen Hotels ist zauberhaft. Sehr freundliches Personal und gutes, jeden Morgen frisch zubereitetes Frühstück

Muy mal rato pasé. Hubo un problema con mi reserva y hotel me recibió mal y Hotels tampoco me ayudó. Cuando llegas te obligan a firmar tres paginas con todas las prohibiciones. Pareciera que te estuvieran recibiendo de caridad. La relación calidad precio no es óptima. No me dieron factura por mi pago, me dijeron que la enviarían por correo y no lo hicieron. Cobran 3% adicional por pagar con tarjeta, que el último día me regresaron y me hicieron firmar carta. No me parecen transparentes.
