Staff were polite but not particularly welcoming. I asked for a cake or decor twice as we were celebratkng a birthday, they acknowledged that but did nothing - thusnisnpoor for the price point. Facilities are nice but rooms are small. Syjtes are very poorly designed, no privacy for shower or bath. We requested a twin room and were given a double so we needed s fold away bed which was delivered and set up promptly.

An amazing vacation

Our stay was amazing. The staff were wonderful. The breakfast, which was included in our stay, had a great selection and was delicious. Everyone went above and beyond to make our stay very special.

We had a very difficult start, to find (without any notification) that the pool was out of use for refurb. We were steered towards pool at neighbouring property, Portswood. After some strong representations from ourselves, the issue was picked up, with good grace, by Simon and Melissa who - for us - saved the reputation of the hotel. The pool reopened looking good on our last day.

It felt nice to wind down after a 37 days Safari in 5 other countries. Good location close the harbour, good breakfast. And at the harbor they had som very good seafood restaurants - specifically the Harbor House :-)
