We really enjoyed our stay here. It was so clean and nice. Very quiet area. Mr Jim was very kind and saw to our every need. We will go back for sure. A wonderful get away for our 49 wedding anniversary!
One of the cleanest cabins I have ever stayed in. The yard and area around it were perfectly maintained. The owner had even decorated the outside yard and planted flowers for fall. The location was nice. Easy trip to Maggie Valley and Cherokee. The owner Jim is very attentive and friendly.

Relax!!!
I own my own business and work like a mad man so I really needed a break. If you want a quiet place to get out of town, this is it. The river will put you to sleep at night. A buddy and I went fishing and caught a slew of rainbows just right up the road. There is plenty to do if you want to spend time outside or just sit back around the fire pit and relax.

To be forewarned...
Would have been nice to know about "spotty" ( almost non-existent) phone service and internet. We are an older couple and would have been in a panic if we needed to call someone for help. That was the problem with the property manager- nice guy, but we couldn't reach him
It was a perfect getaway! Cabin was clean, with beautiful surroundings, very quiet and peaceful. Met Jim, the owner, in person and he was one of the nicest people we've ever met. We will definitely be back!!
The host, Jim, rents two cabins at this location. The cabins are of quite new, modern construction with all the amenities including decent internet, and DirectTV. He lives nearby and checked with us a few times early in the stay to make sure we had no unmet needs. The cabin is in great shape and completely as advertised. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs, with the kitchen and living space (and wood fireplace) on the main floor. The kitchen is well equipped, but we brought a crockpot with us and left dinner cooking a couple of days when we were out hiking until dark. I did submit a correction to google maps to tweak the address number and now it seems to find the buildings flawlessly. Recommended.
As always our stay with Jim was amazing. His cabins are as clean as you will find and he is always available for anything you need. We will be back again soon
The cabin was very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable. The owner was very friendly and easy to work with. He lived up the hill and stopped by/called to check on our stay and offered to start a bonfire for us. The cabin has everything you need in a typical rental. There is no AT&T cell service. The montain blocks the signal, but there is wifi for internet and texts. It was a short drive to Ashville to see the Biltmore and a short drive to Waynesville. We enjoyed having a gas grill with a tank of gas for cooking. We enjoyed sitting outside and listening to the stream across the road. There is only one television with satellite including many movie channels. There are no news channels. We enjoyed our stay.
he is a super host as others have mentioned..easy check in, beautiful but isolated area in the mountains..Now has Wifi but I went for some peace and isolation so it suited me well not to have cell service..
Cute little cabin with all the basic necessities. Property VERY clean and well maintained. The two person jet tub was a huge plus. For the price it was perfect. Close to waterfalls and Asheville without the hustle and bustle. You can hear the creek from the porch or open a window and listen to it. Our host was amazing and tended to our needs. He was even nice enough to get us a fire going when he heard we were coming in late.
If your a 6’5” 280lb horse of man like me and scared of those little round toilets tho, be ready to tuck it in brother. If I had a complaint, and I’m not saying I’m complaining, but I need a throne to sit upon whilst I do my paperwork. I would say that if your honey mooners or taking a weekend get away and ballin on a budget, this place is perfect. Give a shot. You won’t be disappointed. The ride is incredible.
House was well equipped and clean. Massage table was a welcomed surprise. Just wish upstairs lights had a dimmer switch (it was all or nothing). Thanks for a great weekend!
We had a great time during our stay! The cabin is very pretty and we had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner. There is a stream nearby and it was very relaxing listening to it on the porch. Conveniently located to Waynesville for shopping and eating as well as the Blue Ridge Parkway and numerous hiking trails in the Pisgah National Forest. The property owner Jim, is such a nice fellow, and made sure we made it safely on arrival and enjoyed our stay.
My wife and I wanted a few days in the mountains without the kids to relax after the holidays. Despite an issue with Google Maps we found the cabin relatively easy. Once inside we were extremely pleased with the cleanliness of the cabin. It has all the amenities we wanted (fireplace, hot tub, ex.).The owner even called to make sure that we had found the cabin. The scenery was amazing and the cabin was perfect. Its a short drive to the local town and Asheboro is only 45 minutes away. My wife and I had a amazing time and we will be visiting again the only thing I wish was that we could have stayed longer. We will be visiting this location again.
