I booked This hotel 2 weeks before my trip and they just told at the hotel lobby "my reservation was cancelled because they sold everything out ". I showed them my Travelocity reservation confirmation and they just said told me " to find someplace else " because they already sold out...RUDE, Irresponsibles, NOT RECOMMENDED !!!!!
Travelocity: be careful with this people on your network!!!!
I've never stayed in less than a 3-star hotel before. So I hope I'm not being too mean with this review, but this place was pretty gross. The bed/bedding was clean but that's about it. There was mold all over the walls in the bathroom, paint was falling off the walls, the floor wasn't swept, and there wasn't even a seat on the toilet. If you're a budget traveler then this might be the cheapest place you can find in the high season, but I would go out of my way to find a more comfortable/cleaner dorm in a hostel before staying here again. It was pretty gross. A few people upstairs complained that the rain was coming into their room.

comfortable 3-star hotel next to great market
The hotel staff was kind and accommodating. The wifi in the lobby was very fast. The hotel is located by a great market in the town of Cancun.
Saludos.

Close to the ADO bus, still hard to find for me though. Never go to double room 5: the AC is loud and useless, uncomfortable smell of the bathroom, and no hot water for shower, very noisy local neighbors across the street who had parties at their balcony until 2 am. But another single room on the top floor (16?) is fine, with good AC, hot water and fair condition. Most staffs don't speak English...
We stayed here for one night because we had an early morning flight to catch from the airport and wanted to be near the bus station. We were pleasantly surprised by the quiet corner the hotel stands on. We wandered around the market right opposite, and we sat at one of the local restaurants nearby. Oddly, the nice-looking seafood restaurant opposite the hotel was closed for dinner, but we would have loved to have gone because it looked nice.
Hotel was clean, well-located and the staff were very helpful. Free internet worked well in the room and the bed was comfortable.
Thought I'd book this room to save some money. Wasn't even worth the ~$30/night that I paid. First of all, at check-in, the receptionist couldn't find my reservation, and instead of looking more carefully, he just assumed that my last name was someone else's, and he gave me the key to their [occupied] room. Secondly, this place is filthy. It reeks, there are dead cockroaches everywhere, and the walls are covered in black mold. They gave us 1 towel for 2 people, and it was damp. The only plus is that it's quiet at night.

Good location for the price
Good time + I do not have time to write a book here
The receptionist was nice and helpful. Room was quite run down. Avoid the 3rd floor rooms. The airconditioning is loud, there are loud engines outside in the storage room and banging of metal doors keep you awake at night.

We walked, we saw, we ate, we siesta'd and we didn't get bothered people asking us to buy trinkets and t-shirts. This hotel is in a perfect location to walk to anything you want in el Centro. We walked to the ferry to Isla Mujeres, to playa del nina, and to plaza de palapa. If you are not in the mood to walk, it is quite easy to catch a cab or a bus as it is only a few block to the main ADO terminal. Market 23 across the street is what market 28 should be.
Wasn't bad... just a little bit old, obviously you are not paying the fancy place, so you can't complain, but just for sleeping and showering... it's ok, I guess
Ugly and dirty, very dirty. The price was higher than other hotels cleanest and in a better condition. The morning, afternoon and night front desk employees was very helpful. That it's ; /
I am an old gringo and a thrifty traveler. The less I spend on a room the longer I can stay and the more I can do. It is frequently a fine line between a clean, comfortable safe and cheap. I do not speak Spanish making thinks a little more difficult.
Down town Cancun is not for everybody. It is a matter of expectations. If you expect Crystal shining tile floors and having people faun over you and carry you luggage this place and down town are not for you. If you want clean safe and cheap. Bingo you got it.
The only problem was transportation. The taxi/shuttle did not know where it was at. Despite having the name and address carefully typed out for them. A travel tip always have the hotel name and address typed out in the native language. They tried to sell me a taxi for $68 USD instead of a shuttle for $17.
Since they did not know where it was and it was not at the beach, read at least $100 USD a night they implied it was dirty an in a bad area. I hung tough and it was neither.
