Come for the view, stay for the breakfast!

This place is a total gem! Lovely room with a gorgeous view, fabulous shower, excellent breakfast and fantastic hosts. We would love to stay there again!

Had such a lovely stay, the owners were so accommodating. Genuinely looking at when to come back. I took advantage of a rare child free night and slept through breakfast, but they knew that and I got fresh coffee and a sausage and bacon roll when I got up for check out.

Riverside B&B

We loved the Riverside room. Beautiful view of the river. The room was very clean and comfortable. We slept in so we didn’t get a chance to have the breakfast, but it looked like it was going to be amazing. The host are incredibly friendly and accommodating. They even gave us some extra cookies that Brian had made.!

Good sized room, clean, comfy. Fried breakfast ok, but a little cool and pre prepared, i.e. bacon over cooked, mushrooms cool and black pudding still had the wrapping on

Comfortable B&B, easily walkable to the main street of Callander. Warm host. Some quirky touches such as color changing led lights in the shower. I loved the Large Double En Suite at the end of the hall. It has a beautiful view of the river and also an odd little private indoor balcony, also with a great view. It worked great to sit there with a cup of tea during a bit of rain while my partner napped in the main room. On the way into town there's a riverside park that has great walks. Take the time to go through the back yard gate to sit by the river, I saw beautiful birds and it was a peaceful lovely view.

Excellent stay, our room was exceptional, clean and home made biscuits provided. The bed was really comfortable and we had a great night's sleep. Our hosts were great, friendly and approachable and the breakfast was great too.

Fabulous place to stay

Beautiful house with lovely views over the river and beyond. We received a very warm welcome from our hosts. The room was very clean with a very comfortable bed, and fantastic shower. The breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice. I would highly recommend Riverside House and would definitely book again.

Wee Gem!

So glad we stayed at this wee gem! Short walk to town and cycle track. Room was excellent with lovely river views and even its own separate indoor balcony area! Great breakfast freshly made, nothing too much trouble for the friendly hosts. Enjoyed watching Bertie in the garden 😀 Totally recommend.

Callander Riverside house B&B. Great!

Very nearly excellent. Nice people great room. Good location. Beautiful scenery and bedroom view over garden and river. Great breakfast and service. With minor decoration and silacone in areas I would have given 10 out of 10. I rate it 9 out of10.

We stayed overnight and it was a delight. Friendly owners, room ready earlier than anticipated. Gorgeous view of the river and accessible gardens. Nice and clean room, powerful shower. Hearty breakfast was enjoyed before departure at 10.30am. Highly recommend this place to stay.

Valerie was very friendly. She greeted us every morning with a bright and cheery good morning. She provided generous portions; her food was fresh and cooked to exactly what we requested. Our en-suite bedroom was very clean. We had a wonderful view to the river that flowed in her backyard. Valerie had bird feeders outside in her backyard which provided a melodious birdsong from our room and from the breakfast room. Valerie provided terrific dinner recommendations (all within walking distance). She even made our reservations. The Riverside House was well within 40 minutes to Stirling Castle, Wallace National Monument and Doune Castle. We will certainly rebook when we (fingers crossed) travel to Scotland the next time. We would definitely recommend anyone staying in Callander to book at the Riverside House.

Home away from Home

If you are looking for a home away from home, this is a wonderful gem in the town of Callander located in Loch Lomond & The Tressachs National Park. From the moment we arrived Valerie and Brian were friendly and warm offering to grab our bags for us and make us a fresh pot of tea with cake serving it up in the lounge. The room was very comfortable, calming with an extraordinary view of the river and landscape. Bathroom is very clean and refreshed every day. Our favorite part of the stay was the breakfast. It was a simple homemade breakfast with delicious homemade jam, drink of your choice, and you get the amazing yet calming view again. Valerie has a very positive and uplifting spirit to start off your morning while Brian makes us his delicious breakfast. The location is really close to town, several different walks, castles, river/falls, lakes and the ever so famous Highland Cows. Last but not least their cute, funny, loveable, and friendly puppy Bertie that will make you laugh a lot. I would recommend this place to anyone and next time we go to Scotland we will be staying here again. Definitely the best place we have stayed at ever.

room with a view

We had room 4 which had French doors onto a small patio with table next to the lawn which led down to the river. The room was spacious and comfortable with a large en suite shower/bathroom. Large choice of breakfast, all cooked beautifully and served in a room with a glorious view. Valerie and Brian were welcoming and helpful. A lovely break.
