If you are looking for an antique experience, this is the place. Very clean and colonial look. But bathroom supplies aren't provided except a large towel and room has no iron. But the ambience of the hotel is nice.

The hotel is certainly beautiful, you get plenty for the price. The breakfast (was better than expected, tbh) has different options, if you want eggs, granola, etc. There are multiple nooks and crannies to explore around the place. Multiple benches to relax, read, chat and enjoy the day, you may cross paths with an adorable and playful doggy (there's also a friendly cat). There is a pool, there's a gym, the location is superb. The staff was overall helpful and friendly (except, perhaps, for one of the counter ladies). I had an issue with the room and after some time I got another one, so props for that. Overall, pretty, good for the price, nice location and even the owner goes to say hi during breakfast.

A Swiss hotel? Big room, kind of stark and spartan with hard furnishings. Had just what I needed with a blanket, a desk, good lamps, and ample outlets. Former convent??? Stairs only, or oddly steep ramps between floors. Recreating the Alps? Rooms needed better checking and updating between guests: Initially, hot water did not work my first night, which was scary and frustrating. I asked about it, next day (Sunday) and they surmised about an electrical problem above - which was worked on and corrected by evening. Similarly, safe failed because no instructions anywhere. Breakfasts were restrictive and a little stingy. Apparent owner made effort to welcome guests at breakfast. Yet, the atmosphere just felt stark and cold despite staff’s genuine effort to be welcoming. Odd. Hotel seemed to receive habitual return guests. Decent location, a little out of way, but quiet. Safe, with guarded and gated door behind a stone wall. Walkable to pedestrian boulevard, bus routes and known to tours and taxis. Could only find fast food options in area. Despite my complaints, this was my home for seven nights and I had no regrets.

It is a very quaint hands on property. I have stayed here many times with the same staff to greet me. The same staff says a lot!!! Def not fancy but you get the family touch there.

Gorgeous property with lots off trees and plants. Service and cleanliness were very good. Although they have lots of ramps it could be a little challenging for some clients with mobility problems. It is solidly in the tourist zone with access to plenty of restaurants, museums and shopping. My biggest issue was that although they had AC in the room it was quite noisy.

I really liked this hotel and the staff were excellent. They have that old school hotel values, good prompt professional service, very caring. The mattresses were excellent, and firm. Which is important for someone like me with a back condition. The restaurant is very good, better than many in the area. My only criticism of my stay is that there were sometimes bad smells from outside that would drift into the hotel, but in my experience (and I stayed in San Antonio for a month in different hotels) this also happened in other hotels too. I think it is the drains. So there is probably not much that can be done about that. Thank you very much for the stay.
