wonderful surprise by the beach

A lot of these beachside properties are worn down, but this hotel is in excellent shape and with very courteous, helpful staff. The apartments are spotless and super comfortable and all is quiet at night. A fabulous, wonderful surprise by the beach.

The rooms near the main road are extremely noisy from loud traffic, if you need quiet try the other side of the hotel. We slept fine and the beds are comfortable but firm. The pool is very nice, but doesn’t have much shade, and the restaurant is good. The Wi-Fi needs a major upgrade, most of the time it was week or wouldn’t connect at all. Stop by The Gypsy Bowl nearby for good Wi-Fi with your breakfast.

Nice. Okay. Nothing great. Was one of the last places available in high season. Perfectly acceptable. On beach with a shirt walk. Restaurant and pool for relaxing. Nice staff. Just plain and a tiny bit out of town. Across from a grocery store was nice. Inexpensive. I’d stay there again if the center hotels are full.

The apartment is very spacious but need a little upgrade specially in the kitchen area, there is a problem with one of the room's air conditioners that was reported but never fixed. Not hot water.

Great experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very accommodating. I had a single bed room in tangerine palace and for the price it was great. Spacious with a HUGE bed and big bathroom and balcony. My only complaint about the room is it was on the ground floor, so there was often a sewage smell coming from the drains in the bathroom or bugs crawling up the drains. Housekeeping came and cleaned my room about 3 times during my 7 day stay which I didn’t expect but was a nice surprise to come to a cleaned room because if you know Cabarete, sand is everywhere. They were always willing to give more towels or linens too. I used the viva hotel next door for around 35$ USD per day, this is a great option if you’re not wanting the hustle and bustle of an all inclusive but still want to be able to have all you can eat and drink and some entertainment. The pool on the property was great, nice and quiet and they cleaned it daily. Overall for the price I would return to kite wind.
