NO LONGER IN BUSINESS

THIS HOTEL IS NO LONGER IN BUSINESS AND SHOULDN'T EVEN BE LISTED ON HOTELS.COM. DO NOT BOOK. After an overnight, cross country train trip with two small children, we arrived at Hotel House Bran to find it deserted with chains on the gates. They would not answer phone calls, so we contacted Hotels.com customer service. After "investigating" the situation Hotels.com replied that they cannot offer a refund for our stay (that never happened) because of Hotel House Bran's "no refund for cancellation" policy. I didn't cancel. The hotel doesn't exist, therefore they have no "policy" and Hotels.com should bear liability for offering hotels that aren't operational.
