Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We stayed last night. We had a lovely stay. The staff were kind, welcoming and very attentive. The room was clean and really nice. The food was lovely and the drinks, breakfast and finishing touches were really such an amazing finishing touch. I intend to return every time I am flying from Bristol. Thank you all it was fab! X
As hotel stays go, this was up there with the best. Clean comfortable room, great welcome by Katelin and Luke, great food, great beer. A perfect hotel experience
Thanks to all.
A quick stay over, but great experience and will stay again. rooms are very good and well provided; early takeout breakfast-on-the-go option was nice as we were leaving early.
food was good in lively bar/ restaurant
Amazing stay here- staff so friendly and the room was lovely! Had a really good evening meal with in the pub which is very dog friendly and then a great nights sleep. We will definitely be back!
Not the first time we stayed here, because of its proximity to Bristol airport. But apart from that, this brewery owned pub is a very nice one. Good food, friendly staff and very comfortable rooms. Hope to be back soon.
The Swan Inn is a beautiful pub in a quiet country area with easy access to Cheddar. We loved the property and enjoyed our stay very much. We ate dinner one night and breakfast one morning and both meals were delicious. I’d highly recommend The Swan Inn if you’re looking for a quiet country stay in a lovely old pub.
A little gem! Very welcoming, Beautiful rooms, excellent food and service. The complimentary bubbles in the mini bar were fab after a long day and drive.
Old building but clean warm modern fittings, great atmosphere and obviously very popular with the locals.
Food was lovely good choice and priced well, breakfast was great with the Stornoway black pudding. would definitely go back.
Stayed here on our way to st Ives to break the journey from York last week
We enjoyed it so much we decided to stay on our way back from st Ives to York!!
Once again we had a lovely relaxing overnight stay, lovely food and thanks to all the staff for looking after us.
Booked an overnight stay for an anniversary getaway. The room far exceeded my expectations. Everything was spotlessly clean. The facilities in the room were amazing and a great minibar with a complimentary drink. The food was amazing, we would definitely recommend this little pub.
One night stay for a mini break to Cheddar and Glastonbury with my little boy. The Swan Inn was lovely. Convenient location just a few minutes drive from Cheddar. We liked our room - nice decor and little welcome touches, plus it was very clean. Breakfast was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Hotel room was like private bungalow very clean easy parking nice bed and shower.
Samir the manager was fantastic person very professional and helpful.
Recommend to everyone
What a find! Stayed at the swan to break our trip to st Ives. So pleased we did, the swan is a lovely building in a lovely setting, the staff quite honestly can’t do enough for you, our evening meal was really good and the full English that we both had was fantastic all in all I would recommend a stay at the swan without hesitation we are looking forward to visiting again soon
We had an amazing 3 nights at the Swan. From the time we arrived to when we left the service was excellent. We were offered a drink from the bar when we arrived and on departure a coffee for the journey, never have we had this while staying in a pub! All the staff were friendly and very helpful, offering to help with our bags and any other needs we had. Our room, The Dolebury, was in an annex set aside from the actual pub and was beautiful and very clean. Complimentary water, tea and coffee and toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfasts were cooked to order and were delicious and plentiful. We also ate in the pub 2 evenings and the food was very tasty and good options. We would totally recommend this pub set in a beautiful tranquil location, though also very easy to reach places like Cheddar Gorge, Wookey Hole and Glastonbury. They were also super helpful at getting my husband’s wedding ring returned which he left in the bathroom when we checked out!!
The staff were excellent and the food was very good, although we did have to send our steaks back as medium rare came out as exceedingly rare. The replacements were spot on, however. The rooms were very nice, with comfortable beds and blackout curtains. The only disappointment was that they were adjacent to the Inn proper and facing the parking lot, so it felt more like staying at a high end motel. The laundry delivery truck came at 6am, parked not 30 feet from our door and woke us up doing linen exchange. An hour later it was the garbage truck picking up from the kitchen bin enclosure, which was right outside the rooms. We had to don a raincoat to go from our rooms to dinner in the Inn. None of this was expected when booking. The only upside to our rooms was the accessibility for my elderly mother.
Be advised that the Inn is not within walking distance of anything, but only a short drive to the tourist town of Cheddar in the Cheddar Gorge, which has shops and restaurants.
