It was so nice to find a Marriott and all that implies. Great room, great on site restaurant, excellent (in room) breakfast. Only one night, but a welcome oasis.
Absolute gem! Pleasantly surprised for a city hotel.
Room was beautifully decorated with everything you’d need thought of.
Foyer and public areas are extremely tastefully designed.
Excellent on site secure car park.
I beautiful classic luxury hotel, friendly staff, ample on-site underground parking (and EV chargers, although charging not included in price car park). Right near city centre. Awesome breakfast buffet.
A bit expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Very well placed, large hotel and friendly staff. Room was a good size. Not hotel’s fault but noisy at night from street noise into the early hours.
The mattress was on the soft side, but felt like it was nearing the end of its comfortable life
I felt like I was staying in the sort of hotel that’s two or three stars above my pay grade or social station, but the staff were astounding and keen to make sure everyone felt welcome.
Great hotel, highly recommended. Convenient location, friendly stuffs and well maintained hotel in and out. We didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant, because the food options outside are endless.
Lovely hotel, convenient location and we got a free upgrade as it was our wedding anniversary which was a lovely touch from the hotel. I asked for a few personal touches to be added to the room as a surprise for my wife and the hotel accommodated this with no issue and even had it in the upgraded room ready. Great service
This hotel is very comfortable, and in a great location for the Quay area, its about 5 minutes walk to the restaurants and bars. The Cathedral is about 2 minutes in the opposite direction.
The hotel is an older building with interesting history, but its very well appointed, clean and the staff are friendly and approachable. A query that I had was soon resolved.
There is secure parking under the hotel, which is a great advantage in the centre of a city. It also has a Miller and Carter restaurant.
Excellent location, very convenient to have plenty of parking on site, extremely clean and well maintained room and excellent breakfast with great choices available
We loved this hotel! It is beautifully decorated, clean and full of old character. They have obviously done upgrades while maintaining the age and beauty. The staff were very helpful . The breakfast was also a great deal with lots of options. Great value. If we are ever in Bristol again, we would stay here in a heartbeat!!
Location great very convenient can walk around centre. Restaurants really accessible. Parking really good. Clean room, I was supposed to be upgraded have no idea. Booked breakfast for £15 / pp and was charged £37.
Staff were kind did they recognise and solve problems - no
Beautiful hotel, feels rather old-fashioned. Worse thing by far is the carpark. Its not designed for larger cars, is a recipe for damaging cars as you have to park with a couple of centimenters of the pillars or another vehicle. Staff very helpful. rooms very small.
Beautiful hotel, very grand decor, and smells amazing like a spa! Perfect location, right next to the cathedral and good for exploring the city. Very convenient parking underneath the hotel, with a cheaper rate for guests. I’ve seen a few bad reviews on the breakfast, but personally we had no issues, quite a standard hotel buffet breakfast that had everything we would want, no complaints. Served in the Miller and Carter restaurant onsite, very nice.
We did have an issue with loud noise, as there were renovations taking place in the hotel during our stay. However, when we spoke to reception about this they were extremely helpful (and friendly and polite), and did everything they could to improve our situation, including moving us to two other rooms. All the rooms we saw during our stay were beautiful, clean, and very good sizes. And the final one was very quiet! Can’t fault the staff, they did everything they could, and must have had more complaints, so were dealing with it very well. It wouldn’t stop us staying at the hotel again, everything else was lovely and very high standard.
We had such a wonderful stay at this hotel! Perfect location, in the centre of Bristol. Lovely staff, fab room, and the best Espresso Martini you can find in town. We loved sitting in the hotel bar with a drink before heading to bed. Thanks for a lovely stay.
