"Excellent 9-day trip of experiences and wonder. The house was like a jungle oasis. Relaxing on the deck, playing card games or reading, birding, just being...it was very well done. Dolly's cooking was fabulous and highly recommended - otherwise, having to acquire enough foodstuffs (and prepare dinners) would be laborious. Picking up groceries at the BM on the way in was not a problem. Ruben's guidance and captaining was top notch. He was eager to help out and share his knowledge of the area. We went with 7, 10, and 12 yo children who thought it a great experience. They particularly liked our time at the beach, as well as the night hikes, horseback rides, and fishing. And if you're a birder or into nature, having howlers and various other monkeys in the trees around the property made for enjoyable pastimes. Using Merlin app our binocs (incl going to Corcovado NP), we identified 106 different species - the laughing falcon was my favorite, but having two dozen scarlet macaws flying was amazing, too. We brought bug spray but only used it a few times during our hikes (incl spraying our pant legs, which was a good idea). It wasn't needed elsewhere. Dolly helped out w doing a laundry load or two on site, which was good (we probably could have brought less stuff knowing it was available). Highly recommend the casa."
