The property is in a wonderful area of Bordeaux, Very close to the river. Easy access for river Cruises. The host was very accommodating when our flight was delayed.

Beautiful place to stay, spacious room, private outdoor sitting area and a bigger shared one as well and beautiful breakfast! Location is fabulous, walk to many different restaurants. If you’re going on a river cruise, you just walk right down the street right to the ship! Would highly recommend!!

Great location, great decor, close to the river so was great to walk to our river boat after our stay. Our only complaint was no AC but it was an older property and many don’t here in Europe. Perhaps some screen on the window or doors would have been good as we did get bit by the bugs. Other than that a fabulous stay. Thankful to Pierre for bringing us breakfast and carrying my heavy suitcase up and down the stairs.

Fantastic stay at L’Esprit dès Chartrons. Calm oasis in the heart of it all. Lovely room with its adorable patio and even a whirlpool bath. Walkable to everything. Definitely recommended.

Perfect Bordeaux Getaway

Since we come to Bordeaux frequently, this is a place I hope to return to again and again. Our room was perfect and the larger public area spacious, quiet and relaxing. Breakfast was prepared and served outside on the deck by the owner who went to the trouble to find some delicious gluten-free bread from a local bakery. Our room had its own private deck and since the rooms are set back far from the street, it is like being in the country while being right in the midst of the Chartrons neighborhood with all its great shops and places to eat.

Anstrengende Vermieterin

Die Gastgeberin nervte mit der Art, wie sie kommunizierte. Wegen Familienangelegenheiten tauchte sie nur zur Abrechnung auf. Vorher schrieb sie ständig Emails, die ich aber zu spät gelesen hatte, weil ich im Urlaub nicht ständig die Mails checke ... Der Stil war mehr der einer Vermieterin, die ihr Investment möglichst wenig aufwändig wieder reinbekommen möchte, als der einer Gastgeberin. Vielleicht kommen Andere besser mit ihr klar, wir wollen aber nicht mehr bei ihr wohnen.

Sanctuary in Bordeaux

We stayed in Bordeaux for two nights. Brigitte, the owner was unable to meet us on our arrival, but messaged and emailed me to ensure we got all the necessary details and situated okay. The parking garage is secure and we liked that the car was off the street and shielded. The room was spacious and comfortable. No TV here, but frankly, we didn't miss it. The common room for all three rooms was nice and we sat out there upon returning from a day of exploring. Breakfast was delicious - enjoyed the pineapple juice! It is a great location, close by a metro stop and around the corner from some great restaurants. Our only regret was not bringing (or asking for) a fan as it was a hot July.

Frau Brigitte war eine super Gastgeberin. Einrichtung und Lage der Unterkunft, einfach genial! Wer das alte Bordeaux einmal so richtig "atmen" möchte ist hier genau richtig. Zu erwähnen bleibt noch das phantastische Frühstück, welches Frau Brigitte jeden Morgen zubereitet. Preis / Leistung stimmen auf jeden Fall. Good Place to Stay

We had a comfortable room at L'Esprit des Chartrons (one of 3). Brigitte has done a good job remodeling the space, although it has a odd entrance. She also serves a nice breakfast. It's a short block to the tram line, which is very convenient.

Exceptional location and staff

Exceptional stay close to the city centre. The owner is wonderful will make your stay super with a personalize breakfast and some nice tips. The quality of the breakfast is great. The rooms are quite and spacious and very nice. The parking is a good option for people with car. You cannot ask more for your stay.
