The room was clean and the bed was comfy. The property was definitely a little dated but it had a nice vibe. The staff were pleasant and accommodating.
Large room, plenty of space, nice property. Loved the fact that the hot tub is open year round even though it is outside.

Very close to downtown Boise. Staff was so kind & amazing. I would say they went above and beyond for their guests. I did greatly appreciate the (at the time of my stay) included parking for being in Boise. Breakfast was really good.

You advertise a pool & hot tub. The pool was so dirty it had two ducks swimming in it. The hot tub was dirty with leaves & stuff. That was disappointing. However, when the TV didn't work, someone came to fix it within minutes. When we couldn't figure out the shower, someone was there right now! The counter people were very nice when I told them they had vagrants hanging out in an alcove. She went right out & made them leave. So, although the hotel needs some refurbishing, you staff made our stay very comfortable. I must say, your staff was the best thing about your hotel.

This is a good budget pick. You can tell this place was nice when it was first built, but now its past its prime. Highlights are the clean room and friendly staff. The breakfast was mid, and the conditions of the hallways poor, it took a few minutes for the hot water to run, but for less than $100 and 1 mile from 8th ave. Not bad.
Listen. It's a older hotel. Okay, but it's very charming and the staff are super nice. That's what's important. The beds are clean. The bathroom is clean. The hallways don't look so great. But again, it's an old hotel. Don't let other reviews make you not stay here because Red Lion downtown is a really nice hotel

The A/C was broken so it was either freezing or off.
The sink was clogged and we tried to unclog it and a bunch of beard hairs came out
The elevator was like really old and noisy, I was afraid to get on it so I used the stairs instead
The bed was very squeaky but surprisingly comfortable. Everything was really clean and the staff was so kind.

Place was really clean! The staff was outstanding, very accommodating.
The thermostat was not operational, and there was no hot water. I was upstairs.... I ran it forever, no hot water... No shower. Otherwise I like this place. Nothing fancy. Great views, classic 1970s red lion style! :)

The room was very clean, and the staff at the front desk and the house cleaning was kind
The location was great, it is an older hotel but it was good to stay in. the breakfast was good as well, it was more than a continental breakfast so was good to get going for the day!
The property shows signs of severe wear, hou could tell at.one time it was at.least a four.star hotel but due to lack of care it has severely declined, hallway carpets.are bubbled and taped in most areas, they evidently have a wash cloth shortage so advised to bring your own, the night manager went to a closed room and got.one for me,the A/C doesn't work was told there was a boiler issue, my room was clean, the cleaning staff does an excellent job and I gelt.the beds were very comfortable for me, I went and bought a small fan because I stayed a full week as I am an out of town worker, price would be fair if booked.through expedia if.the A/C worked, breakfast was hit or miss they say it.starts at 6:00am I went a couple times and they weren't open, last.time I went the sausage patties weren't cooked good thing they had bagels and cream cheese
