We had an awesome time hanging out on the waters edge drinking amazing cocktails. The staff were friendly and the rooms were really beautifully done.

pleasant stay, great dinner

This hotel is in Turkbuku which is a small village about 20 miles from the town of Bodrum. The village is very charming with many bars/restaurants/shops. The hotel is just outside the village.The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are simple but tastefully decorated. If you get one of the sea-side rooms then the view is gorgeous. I guess the most notable thing about this hotel is the quality of the dinner/lunch which is generally already included in the hotel price. It is at par with high quality French cuisine at a top Parisian restaurant.

Prenotato una vacanza per caso al Macakizi , sono rimasto colpito positivamente , bellissimo albergo , perfetto in tutto , caro , ma più che meritato, e' l'unica ragione per andare a Bodrum ,che di per se è molto deludente e per un turismo di massa.

Fantastic resort!

I stayed here with my girlfriend for a few days of leisure. The resort is top notch - the service, food, amenities, pool, lounge area - are all excellent. My only negative point...it's expensive (cocktails are 42 TL or about $20) but with breakfast and dinner included, it's manageable.

Great hotel and beach and location, but soso rooms

Great hotel altogether, with amazing beach club, great service, and fabulous location. Best in Golturkbuku. But the dinner at the hotel's restaurant was only average, and our room was nothing to talk about. The bathroom was so-so with a little old shower, the TV was tinyyy, and worst of all the bed was horrible (the pillows were good). The bed was hard and old, and you barely moved and it creaked like crazy. BUT note, they have renovated half the hotel and plan to renovate the rest this year, and we stayed in one of the old rooms so I hope the new rooms are more in line with the amazing feel and vibe of the rest of the hotel. I would certainly still go back and recommend this hotel despite this.

Lost its appeal

The hotel still looks very nice. The little bungalows are nicely arranged and integrated into the vegetation. The beach is beautiful and the restaurant AMAZING. Great views and great food. But... the rooms are way too expensive for what you get. Our room was not renovated and had mold in the shower. The service is very basic. I personally think that the hotel is too expensive for what it is. Yes, you'll see celebrities and wanna be celebrities. But you can get better service and location for less in Bodrum.

Charming hotel but...

Charming hotel but with a big problem: unbelievable number of stairs from room to beach. My room was 8 floors above the beach level with no elevators which can be understood because of the nature of the terrain there, but there should be pathways and golf carts to take the guests up an down. Another smaller problem; there no no blackouts in the room and the room is filled with daylight from very early. Last comment: it is overpriced.

A Great Treat on the Turkish Sea

The Hotel location is perfect to enjoy the view of the Turkish sea and sailing boats every moment of the day. The Staff is very helpful and cheerful and the hotel is very charming yet easy going. I will recommend the facility to anyone who wanna treat themselves!!! L

Beautiful grounds, delicious food, needs to work on service and hotel bathrooms

The hotel grounds we're stunningly beautiful and the food at all the restaurants was delicious. At check-in our service was impeccable, however from then on the service at the hotel was just ok. However, our massages with the spa were terrible. Our room view was absolutely beautiful, but the room itself was just ok. It looked like the bathroom could use an update and deep clean.
