Welcome was friendly, room was clean, beds were comfy.
Its in an area with lively bars, but this didnt affect our sleep - will be staying here again soon!
Perfect location for main Blackpool attraction. Julia the host very friendly.
Despite the location very peaceful room, beds comfortable and clean bathroom.
Would return.
We stayed here for the furst time this weekend. Its was the perfect location for us as we wanted to visit all the local dgay bars. We were really nicely greeted on arrival and the room was perfect. Will definitely be returning 👍
stay was pleasant , bed only stay , clean room , it was for a friends 70th birthday , I did attempt to contact the hotel twice before our stay by email but got no reply . and I did phone the hotel on the number provided on the morning we arrived no reply even when I left a voicemail , apart from that all ok
The property was clean and tidy, with tropical decor which was pleasing to the eye. The shower was lovely the bed was comfy. It is an Adults only hotel, a short walk from the Train Station, Blackpool North and close to the Winter Gardens, shopping centre and sea front. The only downfall for me was, it was a bit noisy as it was close to a main road, and Funny Girls night club. It is a room only hotel but it does have a bar.
A truly terrible place, definitely not a 3 star. Paint peeling, dirty, and uncomfortable. No none was there to check us in, even though we arrived at 5.30 and check in was until 7pm. We had to ring the out of hours number. When they did arrive they gave us the key and left us in the entrance.
The shower did not work, there was an inch of dust on the kettle.
We were in the roof, and the high above the beds was about 1.5 feet, so could not sit up in bed.
Was supposed to be stopping 2 nights but could not take it and left after 1.
Would not recommend at all!!!!
Me and my friend had a great stay for a Thursday in June. The hotel was clean and modern for Blackpool. We had a really peaceful nights stay and it was close to all the places we wanted to visit meaning we could come and go as we pleased. Funny Girls was a 2 minute walk away! Perfect. The host was lovely and very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t give it a higher rating. Would definitely stay again! Thank you.
First of all, this hotel isn't called The Edward. After spending an hour and a half looking for The Edward Hotel we discovered that it is now called the Tropics Beach Hotel. The hotel is in a very dodgy and intimidating area full of drunks and drugs all along the road it's on. The hotel was very uninviting, I think we were the only ones staying there. The room was dirty with stains and marks on the walls, the window had never seen water apart from rain. Immediately we decided this wasn't the hotel or area for us so we gave the keys back and left to find another hotel. This hotel advertises as a 3*, probably two and a half stars too many. What a dump.
I stayed in a twin room with a friend and we were both pleasantly surprised. have stopped in quite a few of the smaller hotels in Blackpool and the rooms and bathrooms are usually tiny, extremely hot if it's a warm day and generally quite dated. Once we got into the room it was quite spacious with a generously sized en-suite.
The only reason I have marked the service as ok is because other than being checked in/ shown to our room we didn't really see any staff and just had to leave our keys on the side at check out so I cannot judge the service.
Would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Blackpool.
A bit dated, but very clean. One of the owners let us in and showed us to our room on arrival. The beds weren’t amazingly comfortable, but certainly weren’t awful! Nice large room with a modern en suite and tea & coffee making facilities. We loved that we could bring the dog, too! The hotel isn’t in the best area in terms of some of the surrounding nightlife, but you don’t really hear anything when you’re in. Really close to the promenade and public transport. One thing I didn’t like was that there isn’t a reception, and I had to call quite a few times to get a hold of someone when we were trying to check out, so we ended up being told just to leave the key on a table. Overall, The Edward is okay for a few days away - would recommend. :)
