Horrible hotel, absolute filth! Daylight robbery!

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I travel up and down the country for football, have stayed in many hotels, good, bad average, but this is by far the worst yet. The reception room/bar area was a disgrace, rubbish everywhere, food all over the floor, just a dumping ground with a leaking ceiling. That’s where we had to leave our bags as our rooms weren’t ready. After the football match we went back to check in. The rooms were nothing like advertised, not looked after, funny smell and not clean. No remotes for the tv in any room, no towels in any room, no hot water in 1 of our 3 rooms. 1 room had no toilet roll! Complete waste of money, ruined our trip, wouldn’t recommend it to nobody, not even a Bolton fan! I will be getting in touch with hotels.com to complain. Fair play to the fella behind the bar at the Philly sports bar who was shaking his head in disgust when we told him where we were staying. If only we’d known before booking. Hopefully this review can save others the disappointment we witnessed on Saturday.

Excellent Guest House

One night stay in a conveniently located guest house. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good, too. Lots of facilities for kids to use (Playstation, X-Box etc.)and at no extra cost! Thoroughly recommended.

Great Hotel with a lovely warm welcome. The manager was excellent & couldn’t be more helpful. The family room suite was perfect for our family of 5 & had everything we needed. The decor in the kids room was ace & very modern in the parents room. The kids even got a hamper full of yummy goodies which made our day & was a lovely surprise. Breakfast was amazing & set us up for the day nicely. Location was great for the tower, shopping centre & promenade attractions. Fantastic place with fantastic staff! Thank you for a great stay. We’ll definitely be staying again.

First impressions not good second same, bed was very comfortable, smell weed on staircase, dirty carpet on stairs and bedroom carpet stains all over. The owner was very friendly and a nice chap.

Took 30 minutes to see anyone when I arrived. No towels, toilet roll, very strong smell of weed, carpets disgusting. Party going on until 6.30 in the morning on the second night. Would not go back there if they paid me.

Cant say i would recommend!

Urmmm... quite alor wrong here . Its difficult to describe quite how terrible it was. £45 a night is too much fot his hotel unfortunately. I have stayed in 3rd world countries accommodation where you slept on the floor with a bucket for the toilet and that was better than this hotel. The building has massive potencial but sadly isnt being utalized. I can only warn you not to book here unless you are complelt desperate.if you dont smoke but love ypur roo Smelling of it then this is the place for you! One thing i can say is that the people who 'worked' there were very friendly.

Overal it's ok but I expected better. Staff friendly, reception on arrival was disappointing as it looks very untidy and everything is all over the place. I requested for ground or first floor but was offered the last floor which is third floor. The beds are fragile and squeaky. They very fragile. The apartment containing 3 single beds have no wardrobe,cupboard, table or chair to sit on. Bathroom has a shaking toilet bowl and shower leaks out on the floor with nothing to clean it up. Heater is central as such cannot be regulated from inside the room. I have to specifically request for a small fan heater as my daughter is asthmatic. As i said the staff are friendly.

A lovely stay

I had a wonderful stay here, the bed was so comfortable, the room was very clean and well kept. The location was prefect not far from all the attractions. The owner Enid was very welcoming. Although the was a mix up with the room, this was dealt with very quickly with no issues. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here
