Well the fact was when we arrived at the hotel was told i no longer had a booking and they no longer dealt with expedia this was after id payed expedia
Horrendous Hotel, never again would I step foot in the place. Had nothing but hassle since stepping foot in the door on Monday, no help from the staff rooms are a disgrace and everyone in there was complaining. I have to ring Expedia twice in the space of 4 days because of the way the manager spoke to me and because apparently we wasn't down for a booking because they don't use expedia. Only cash no cards allowed you get no recipt. Woke up to rain pouring on one of the broken beds on Wednesday, got no bin or kettle when we eventually got a room. Looks ok from outside and downstairs but the rooms are disgusting. AVOID! Luckily Expedia has helped us out in this stressful time which should have been a fun little get away.
The staff are great. Helpful, friendly, professional, couldn't do enough for use. The hotel was clean and tidy downstairs the rooms where clean, but in need of decoration. The end suite is no larger than a broom cupboard with shower toilet and sink. There was no TV in the room, the single bed was broken and had be repaired by laying a board over the divan bed Base that didn't really do the job. The breakfast was great the staff very friendly but the rooms could use some work and updating.
I booked for 16 people and booked 4 family rooms which sleep 4. After 2 phone calls from the manager saying we had booked for only 7 and hadn't booked at all we finally arrived at this dump at 1000 02/07/2017. We were told at the reception that we could not check in yet but could leave our bags and go out for the day. We did this and I paid in full before we went out. I arrive back on my own at 1700 to sort the rooms to be told we have all double rooms and no family room which is not what was booked. I was then informed I needed to pay £20 deposit per room which was never mentioned before. After saying I can't do this now as everyone was still out I literally had the money thrown at me by a scruffy looking man in an oversized suit and told to find somewhere else and he will re sell the rooms, I was later to find this is the manager. After arguing and finally be given keys we put our bags in got changed and went out. On returning one of our party returned to his room to find a homeless man and a dog sleeping in his room who seemed to have access to all rooms and thought nobody was in that room although our bags were already in there. The place is a joke and needs to be seen to be believed
When we arrived after booking months ago we were told we had no room even though we had a booking reference, but think we had a lucky escape due to filthy reception area and obnoxious manager. I would not let my worse enemy stay here DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL
Dont go here. I emailed the hotel to see when check in was they said 2pm. Got there just after 2pm and they said it was 3pm. The locks on the doors dont lock (we had 5 rooms and only 1 locked properly). One staff member just walked into my room unannounced. 1 roll of toilet roll was in the room. No towels. No cup for a cup of tea but kettle, sugar etc. were there. Nobody about to check out the hotel with - ended up giving the key to the cleaner. They dont take card so make sure you have cash upon arrival. Only positive is the location is decent - about a 5 minute walk from the beech front.
It's was horrible mouldy cold no doors on bedroom the floorboards could move the bed the door to the room was not secured they was a hole an a draft was coming threw there was a crack in the window I didn't stay here we left 20 mins of arriving it was like a prison cell
The hotel is old unkempt and in need of serious tlc and basic repair. There was no rail in the wardrobe yet hangers the curtains were the wrong size for the window. No tea krone coffee making facilities as for tolitries not even soap to wash your hands with.
Someone had been sick in the night and it was still there in the morning when we found it as I could smell it, it reeked.
Breakfast was yummy but it was in a small bar area there were no teaspoons.
The staff were great but the owner wrote needs to see this a d either close the hotel to get it ready for the summer or sell it on to someone who cares
Nice hotel u get what you pay for , would recommend and will be back soon

Credit card machine on arrival broke, reception said imust go out to cash machine in pouring rain.lock on bedroom door fell off when i reported it, they gave me a screwdriverand said he could not do it has he was on his own.leak on wash basin, they gave me a mop and bucket.had a glass of orange juice in morning the next day same glass on table unwashed from pre vious day.
I understand its blackpool and alot of places are simply for groups of drinkers....BUT.. this place wasn't the cheapest and it said it catered for families. I took my family including my toddler and they put us up in the most god awful rooms that smelt of sewage, hadnt been cleaned prior to check in and certainly hadnt seen a hoover for a good couple of month. Simply had nothing in the room or bathroom except for a couple of grubby cups to attempt a brew at our own peril!
Worst place ive had to step foot in. Decor is awful looks dilapidated, meant to have no smoking in where we stopped but could smell it throughout the building. Lift was outdated and barely functional so if your on the 3rd floor make sure you take your hiking boots!
Only seen 3 workers who unfortunately were of a misfortunate calibre. 'Manager' apparently, was asked to sort it. She admitted the rooms werent clean and gave a lame excuse that she'd been awake for 36hrs and was either tired or whatever she banged on about i didnt pay much attention. Sorry but if your taking £90 off a customer than the least you expect is the very basics! Had to wait 2hrs in the first crummy rooms till she 'cleaned' another 2 for us. We tried to leave but our car was blocked in so had no choice but to stay and wait it out till morning.
Didnt even bother attempting the breakfast.
Absolute disaster and i cant believe its allowed to be open for custom.
Stay well clear people!!!!

Dont book if you like sleep!
Whilst the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful, they should have advertised that they accepted parties of males.... all night (literally from 1am - 7.30am) was a complete and utter nuisance.Lads basically partying in each others rooms and screaming, shouting, knocking doors, fighting,, beds in the corridor? (what was all that about) slamming the fire exit doors... we'd have been better off sleeping in the car! not the hotels fault (though they should would have been thrown out anywhere else) and the manageress was heard several times during the night but you cant have families and other guests in the same hotel as stag parties. Its either one or the other - I appreciate they need the business but need to choose really!
This hotel is suitable for stag and hen dos , we were kept awake by drunken idiots that think it ok to kick hotel door and scream and shout for 3 hours ,
absolute nightmare. no toilet paper no soap no towels no conditioning and i'm not talking about food .

Great few days
Fab few days away hotel is what you pay for if you want 5* then this is not the place. Staff are great very friendly and helpful beds are comfortable rooms are bog standard fine just to get ya head down. Very close to all attractions. We all had a great time and will book again
we stayed for a week and had made a cracking save, Although there were staffing issues, we were well catered for by the staff that were there, and will be visiting again next year.
We have just returned from a stay here last night 17th September. Well what can i say? We were looking for 2 days for something near the centre with ensuite bathroom and there was limited availability everywhere. We arrived at the hotel around 4pm, check in went smoothly with the lady on reception, she was very enthusiastic and welcoming. On entering our room i was quite surprised. There was 2 single beds a wardrobe and a bedside cabinet, no tele, no coffee/tea making facilities or towels. Now we wasnt there to watch tele or drink tea and coffee but if they should have been there then you expect to receive them. The beds were clean which was good, curtains where hanging off the rail, i could feel the springs on my mattress and the bathroom suite was a mustard colour like something out of the 1960s!! We didn't get up for breakfast so i can't comment on that but i can honestly say i don't think its worth the £60 we paid!
No air conditioning in room, no phones in room, no towels as shown in pics in room, one curtain do cover a double window(did not cover). Mound patches painted over on walls, sliding toilet door comes away from wall/rail. Bed lumpy and uncomfortable, room smelt fusty, four staying in two adjacent rooms but only two cups for drinks. Kettle boiled two cups not four? Very poor decor through out. Needs serious refurbishment. Overall rating out of 5, a big fat 0. Will not stay here again. This is a typical hotel as the saying goes......you get what you pay for. I would of been better sleeping rough in a cardboard box.
