"I stayed in a wheelchair accessible room. All was excellent except the shower. There was no way to not flood the whole bathroom area as shower area was small and had no curtains. I suppose if you're not showering it would be ok. Wonder if the normal bathrooms have the same absence of a splash enclosure."

"Stayed at Tropikist for a couple of nights and had a really great experience. The service was excellent from start to finish and every member of staff was friendly, helpful and welcoming. I honestly couldn’t fault anything. I was lucky enough to get a lovely ocean facing room and the view was beautiful. Waking up and seeing the sea first thing in the morning was definitely a highlight. The room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The hotel has a really nice laid back vibe and it is in a great spot for enjoying Tobago. Even though I only stayed a couple of nights it left a really positive impression and I would happily stay again. I would definitely recommend Tropikist to anyone visiting Tobago and the island itself is a fantastic place to visit."

"Disappointed overall. Did not get access to our room until after 4, although check in was at 3. No decaf coffee or tea available. I requested towels twice on saturday, once in early morning, once around 3pm and both times they were being laundered. A resort should have enough towels for its guests. No cream for your coffee at breakfast. On a positive note the view was beautiful, the hotel was beautiful but tired. Needs a refresher. Overall not worth what we paid."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Rooms and all the grounds were kept very clean and tidy. The staff was quickly responsive and friendly with all our needs. The continental breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The pool area was pristine for relaxing and swimming. although the restaurant only served breakfast (restaurant was not open lunch & dinner) and the swim up bar inside the pool was not open, staff was readily available at the bar, which is right next to the pool. Staff assisted us with their corporate WiFi use, so we had WiFi service on all the grounds (rooms included). The tennis courts are not kept up too well - there are some cracks that have been patched & some that haven’t. (We still managed to play some light tennis on them without much issue.) The place is “outdated,” as stated in reviews I read prior. However this did not mean dirty, non-functioning or uncomfortable. There are several restaurants in walking distance & the direct access to a very quiet beach was amazing. We would definitely return."

"Room was in good condition. Staff were extremely friendly and courteous and worked as best as they could within a the many flaws of the hotel. Ice machine broken, bar unmanned, room service every other day, ineffective communication between room and front desk (had to use WhatsApp) no tv (had to use your personal streaming like Netflix) and when it wasn’t working, no maintenance available until 11:00 pm that night. No food available at beach front bar on the first day. Shout out to Jamal who went over and beyond to accommodate for the flaws and made the stay bearable. Sad to see such a previously prestigious site in this condition. "
