Good for solo and family trip. Inside the building everything is safe. Individually marked for individual rooms to avoid confusion. Got a nice kitchen and utensils. Well arranged. 10 minutes walk from Selly Oak train station (10 minutes ride to Birmingham). Customer support service is very much appreciated as they answer and sorted all my confusions promptly. Clean kitchen, corridor, bedroom and toilet.

Very disappointed.

The room was small.The bathroom had a tiny sink, smelt musty and had mould in the shower. Only one hand towel and bath mat were provided. The kitchen and fridge were dirty. The bins were overflowing and there were no tea towels. Crockery and cutlery needed to be washed before they were fit for use. This turned out to be a student type house which did not reflect the accommodation advertised.

Difficult and dirty

Sheets were marked and dirty, this was true across 2 rooms are getting moved from one. Even when I informed the customer services they never brought any fresh linens. I've Rowell was also yellow it was so old and used. Check in process and requirements have a lot hidden in the tabs that make the entire process really bloated and over complicated

20 Rookery Road

Accommodation was great, clean and newly refurbished with spacious room and good shared kitchen/laundry facilities. Shortage of forks/mugs however in kitchen. Good location near university with lots of nearby buses and train to centre. Accommodation could do better with recycling though and communal lights left on 24 hrs etc. HOWEVER I extended my stay and was NOT given the new door code so was forced to wait for more than 2 hours outside until the ‘emergency’ phone number picked up. When they did the problem was resolved quickly, but it seems there is just one poor woman staffing the emergency line hence the 2+ hour wait - she (Leah?) is excellent and sorts everything out promptly, calmly and professionally, but Kunda really need to urgently address the paucity of phone staff to deal with such situations. They also need to ensure any new door codes are provided in a timely fashion! Finally make sure the £100 security deposit is refunded - I had to chase them up and am still waiting (but they do say it can take 5-7 working days…..). All in all, with the exception of the door code issue a very pleasant stay in Rookery Road in a clean and safe house with easy access to Birmingham’s attractions.
