The cabin is perfectly set off from the lake and in good walking distance to the Village and boat rentals.
Kitchen is fulling stocked with dishes, pots, pans and coffee pot etc...
Little table for two set cutely up....
Beds were nice with gel mattress, and bedding with pillows new and clean..
Bathroom clean... Shower/Tub looked like maybe someone replaced the shower head and did clean up after replacement... could have been rinsed down....
We will defiantly be staying again :-) possibly renting more than one cabin for a family trip.
No hangers in the wardrobe. Bring your own. No cutting board and cattle at the kitchen. Some pans don’t have covers. Kitchen dishes and glasses set very basic.
The floor inside the unit has many single steps stairs. 2 steps from living room to the kitchen. One step from kitchen to the bathroom. Watch your steps, you may fall. House has 2 queen beds. One is comfortable, another one has thin foam mattress that is smaller than a bed frame, be careful. Balcony door doesn’t have a lock, kids may run out to the balcony, nothing prevents them from open the door.
Reserve the room for three nights and ended up not spending even 1 night.
The room is somewhat rustic but that’s understandable considering it’s in Big Bear. There is a huge cobweb in the loft above the bed, which we took down after a spider fell on the bed while my son was laying on it.
When we pulled back the bedding of the bed in the bedroom, we noticed a granular material and pet hair throughout the bed. We took off the fitted sheet to find a large urine stain on the mattress pad. We took off the mattress pad to find that the mattress was brown, dingy and had a huge stain, covering half of the mattress. It was utterly disgusting. It looked like they stole the mattress from a homeless person sleeping on it in an alley. There’s no way that the cleaning staff was not aware of this and it should’ve been brought to the property manager or owner’s attention The property manager Nora (she said she took over the property just a couple days prior) was responsive, apologetic and immediately refunded our money. We ended up leaving big Bear at 1:30am to drive back home. It completely ruined our weekend.
