We spent 4 nights here and would highly recommend this hotel. The location was very convenient, close to the train station. The onsen were really nice, you have a great view of the town on the upper floor, after taking a bath. Private onsen is also very affordable (1000 yen). The breakfast was also great, traditional meal and also a buffet where you can get more stuff. Would definitely stay here again

Each day chefs came up with different delicious menus with plenty of local flavors and impressed us with their creativities. Nice clean hotel that is very deceiving from the outside. Excellent customer service and the private onsen was awesome. Room was huge, clean, and comfortable. 概観は少々歴史のあるホテルかと思いきや、内部は改装して間もないのか、とても綺麗で、ロビーはとても華やかです。部屋も広くて清潔で快適でした。テレビが大きくてゴージャスでした。露天風呂から外が見えれば目の前に別府タワーがあるのでとても良い眺めだったと思いますが、その場合、向こうからも見えてしまうので、そういうわけにもいかないのでしょうね。市街地内にあるので止むを得ませんが、その点だけ残念でした。とは言え、交通も至便でとても良いホテルだと思います。
