First time using a dog friendly hotel, so was a little cautious about what to expect, however no need whatsoever. Great hotel, great location and great staff. Very friendly and made us very welcome.
Huge room and huge bathroom with comfortable bed and a very powerful shower. Great food and great service. Although it was on a main road there was no road noise and it was very easy to get in and out of the 'junction'.
Great location for a last minute trip to the Suffolk Coast! Few minutes drive from Southwold. Very spacious and clean family room with a nice breakfast included. All staff we met were helpful and friendly. Would recommend.
Shenise welcomed us with a smile and was so efficient, professional and upbeat managing all aspects from check in, the bar, breakfast and evening meals and offering places to visit during our stay. The full English breakfasts were delicious and a lot of variety using good produce and would recommend. The bedroom was spacious and the large walk in shower had hot water. Loved the welcome touches of the tea, coffee, water and biscuits provided and replenished daily.
Stayed here in early March for the third time. Greeted on our arrival and shiwn to our room. All staff we came in to comtact with were helpful and friendly.
Rooms are very clean and spacious witb enough plug sockets for todays charging needs. Beds are comfortable. Shower works well and the bathroom has lots of space.
Breakfast was excellent as were the two meals we had in the restaurant. Perfectly cooked and tailored to my fussy taste. Good selection of beer and spirits. A great example of a well run business.
The accommodation was very spacious (bigger than a lot lot of hotel rooms). There was a good selection of reasonably priced meals for dinner, which were also good portions. Vegetarian options also available. Ian was very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast the next morning was also very good. Well worth the stay. Thank you.
We've stayed here before and enjoyed it. Rooms are basic but very comfortable, and clean. Plenty of hot water. Weirdly no soap dispenser accessible from the bath but apart from that all good. Beds comfy - all this is why we've stayed here twice before for an overnight stop off. It was the service that let things down this time - evening meal, and breakfast the guy who served us seemed very rushed, impatient and like he didn't want us there. Which seems strange considering how quiet it was. Had this not been the situation, then I'm sure we'd have said it remained great and we'd still stay again. But to be honest, we're not sure we will now.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Good points: dog friendly, friendly staff, good food at a reasonable price, clean and tidy.
Not so good: Our bathroom needed a complete revamp. Traffic noise from the main road.
Room was nice and clean though next door No 3 could look in when coming and going.
A little touch up is needed in the bathroom

Lovely pub and decent room
The room was off a court yard, it was a double room with sofa bed and was adequate size with a small private entrace hall, with the room and bathroom off it. Handy for kicking shoes and coats off and leaving there. The bathroom and room were large. The batroom had a separate bath and shower, the bath was a little dusty and the fittings a little dated but it was clean other wise. The room was clean, comfortable bed and adequate drinks making facilities. The pub served a lovely evening meal and breakfast. It was dog friendly - but not ott, no fuss made of dog or treats or water bowls that I saw. But definately dog tolerant.
We really enjoyed our stay. The location is very convenient along A12 for visiting different places in the local area but we did not hear any road noise. Room 3, the family room, was very spacious with 3 beds and plenty of space for the whole family. Good TV service with lots of streaming services available. The bathroom also very large with a great shower but also a bath which is handy with a family. Good temperature. Furniture showing a few imperfections but more than adequate for the price. No hairdryer in room but sent husband I to the pub to get one and they gave me a new one (would have been annoyed if alone though)
We had dinner first night which we really enjoyed. The burger was excellent and although some Italians are probably rolling in their graves somewhere, I also really enjoyed the not very authentic pizza - really tasty with lots of toppings. Coffee and adnams beer/wine excellent too.
Cooked breakfast was very good with great sausages and eggs cooked to liking. Excellent coffee served. I would prefer a lighter option like avacado on toast or something.
I forgoed breakfast on day 2 as checkout so early (10.30am) and had to get my two daughters ready for the day. The girls really liked the playground on site.
Overall a ver enjoyable stay.
We only spent a night and we didnt really user any of the facilities outside of the room/chalet... but what we did use was excellent. Would definitely go again!
Appalling welcome - simply rude and not wanting to hear that we had spent 40 minutes looking for the venue - ‘it was not his problem’ .
We had been directed by yourself to Beccles where there used to be a pub called the Plough - no longer there ! Google directed us to a field. No one seemed to know anything about it. We even thought we had been scammed ! Tried to call your helpline but could not speak to someone, and we had No telephone number for the venue!!!
Eventually someone thought of the Plough in Wangford but warned us that the landlord was not very nice - the reason he does not go there anymore.
The lodgings are away from the main dining and drink area. Decoration as in the photo but disappointing if you are looking for a pub with atmosphere - more of an upgraded Little Chef with a makeover - do you remember those? Anyway good sleep, bath and shower, large room and good breakfast but my husband could not shake the rudeness he was met with and throughout our 3 night stay.
So please change your address for this venue to mention Wangford and NOT Beccles and add a phone number on the trip receipt !
