Nestled in a large garden, the five-bedroom rural getaway sleeps 10 and is perfect for a sizeable family group or party of friends. It has an abundance of character, as well as a games room, wood burner and firepit to gather round on long summer evenings under the stars.

Enter the farmhouse via the vaulted entrance hall, where there is a wood burner to pause beside on chilly days. Gather in the splendid lounge/diner, with its double-height ceiling, to watch TV, play on the games console and feast together. Head into the snug, with another wood burner and TV, or up to the mezzanine to play pool, instead. Take turns at preparing meals in the capacious, beamed kitchen, where there is a breakfast bar and table. There is also a utility room and a family bathroom downstairs. Follow the stairs up from the kitchen to a king-size bedroom, with dressing room that can also be accessed from the landing. Another king-size bedroom leads from the same landing, as well as via steep, cottage-style, winding stairs from the hall; these also give on to a twin, with en-suite WC. A family shower room and a family bathroom are also on the first floor. Head up open stairs to a double bedroom and adjoining twin, both with sloping ceilings. Relax out in the garden as the BBQ heats up, taking in the views and supervising children near the pond. Challenge each other to table tennis in the games room. There is ample parking.

Spend days by the sea in Covehithe, 7 miles away, or Southwold. Head into Beccles, 8.5 miles away, to wander the shops or Bungay, 11.5 miles away, with its castle.
