Many prehistoric tools, Saxon jewellery and Roman coins have been unearthed in the area and there are also the remains of two medieval crosses bearing witness to regular markets having taken place on the village green and at the crossroads. "Our suite was spotless and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast menu, we also had a family meal one evening, which was delicious. The staff were mega friendly and obliging, nothing was too much trouble. We have stayed there several times and it’s always a pleasure. The Crown is our go-to place when in Norfolk. "

"Upon arrival, the staff were very helpful. The room allocated was on the second floor. Very spacious and clean room. The bathroom was fantastic, very clean and bright. Both bathroom and the bedroom were well heated. We slept so well. The shower water pressure was not great. The hotel is very nice. The rooms need updating, and could do with some maintenance such as walls abd ceilings.I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would come back again. "
