Opening in 1932, it has served the town of Bar Harbor as a movie palace ever since, accomodating such prominent families as the Rockefellers on their vacations to nearby Mount Desert Island. Kept in fantastic condition over the years, the theatre still has most of its original interior: seats, curtains, and even the original lighting board for stage performances. Perfect when you need a nice, clean place to sleep, but don’t want to spend a bunch. It was wonderful to park our car and walk into town for the evening. The oatmeal, coffee/water, and quick snack options in the lobby was perfect for early mornings.

Loved this great motel! Close to everything in Bar Harbor, plenty of parking around the motel, coffee available every morning, and everything was very clean and well kept. Would definitely stay here again if I came back to Bar Harbor.
