Gorgeous mountain home in the heart of the High Country, featuring easy paved access and ample parking, breath-taking mountain views, bubbling stream, large open yard, and a stunning outdoor patio perfect for entertaining and hosting large gatherings. This large mountain estate holds 6 private bedrooms and ample bathroom space, with the master bedroom on the main level, a private suite above the garage, and a bonus room on the lower level for indoor entertainment and games. There is easy access to the balcony overlooking the yard, perfect for relaxation. Located close to the Watauga River, this home is situated perfectly, only a 15 minute drive to Boone, Banner Elk, and Blowing Rock.

*All-wheel or 4-wheel drive strongly recommended in the winter months.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. Even with a rainy week, the spacious home provided lots of room for games, puzzles, quiet reading spaces, pool, and lovely deck views. The amazing outdoor kitchen was a big hit and provided wonderful family meals. The property has easy access and plenty of parking. We also enjoyed having a great grocery store close by. Hope to enjoy another stay there soon.

Annual family snowboarding vacation

This was our second visit to the Casa de la Rosa. Beautiful snow-filled vacation. Loved looking at the view from the large front window overlooking the snowy lawn. Property manager and owner were very responsive to our needs. Highly recommend this spacious property.

Beautiful Weekend to Celebrate

This home was gorgeous, well furinished, and provided plenty of space for the friends staying. The outdoor area was better than expected- we got amazing use out of the pizza oven and the outdoor dining table was perfect to share a meal. I can’t recommend this property enough.

Lovely mountain house

The house was beautiful, clean and everything worked! The set-up was perfect for our large group of extended family. The house really had something for each age group of kids and plenty of space to play outdoors. We cooked inside and also used the outdoor grill and fire pit. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property to anyone staying in the area with a larger group!

This Private Moutain House is in a Great Location, Midway between Boone and Banner Elk; a Short drive to Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, and Sugar Mountain ! The Home is Well maintained, and Art, our Host was Excellent; we had an Issue w/ the Gas Logs upon arrival on Sunday evening, and He came by Monday to Fix the problem and attend to several other minor issues...With Six Bedrooms, Our 12 member Family had Plenty of Room to Spread out and enjoy;and the Owner decorated the House for Christmas for Us, which was an Addded Bonus !!!

Great property in great location

The house itself quite large, and bedrooms are scattered about on different floors, perfect for our family. Plenty of bathroom space, also. The hot tub was a hit, and with the HUGE outdoor TV, we had great fun watching football while in the hot tub. The outdoor pizza oven was a hit! Several of our guests had to work remotely during our week, and the Wi-Fi did not disappoint. Morning coffee on the porch was very relaxing.

Winter family cabin getaway

We always do a winter family vacay just after Christmas and New Yrs, have for several yrs, usually near Knoxville area in pigeon forge or Norris lake but decided to go in Banner Elk/Blowing Rock, NC area. This was undoubtedly the best place we’ve stayed, so much room, so accommodating. Large family areas on both main and lower floor made it great for everyone to enjoy. Beautiful bdrms and baths, large game area for game nights. Large gas log fireplace sets the tone on a winter day. Just loved every minute.

Huge Spaces and 'Homey'

Loved all the many separate spaces and large family table indoors and outdoors. Although it was just 2 of us couples, we all agreed it would be great for a family reunion. Fantastic game room, comfortable beds, huge outdoor patio and dining space, 2 separate sitting spaces, etc etc. All rooms/spaces are large enough or far away enough from each other that there is much privacy and very quiet. Very well thought out large cabin amongst beautiful surroundings. Easy location for day trips.

We had a great time at this listing. Perfect for the 6 of us with each having their own bedroom. The location and convenience to Boone and Banner Elk made the home a great find. The amenities were as advertised, but two of the TVs failed to operate correctly and the downstairs fireplace was in-operable. The house was well appointed with most anything you might need for your stay. The linens and pillows were very nice. The views were great, although not as high as we would have liked. Over-all, I would rate this property as a 4+

Kitchen was well stocked, except for a broken toaster, only one side of the outdoor grill worked, made it difficult as we had 12 people.... and we had to buy a can opener....outside fire pit was so enjoyable. We did not use the hot tub. Beautiful front yard and view of mountains...lots of outdoor seating areas...kids enjoyed the downstairs gameroom...we would definitely return...winery is so close and one of the best I've been to, we were all seated next to the river..

Family Retreat

This home is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! It is centrally located between Blowing Rock, Banner Elk and Boone! The home is arranged so that each bedroom space is PRIVATER and has 3 floors of living space! The playroom is great for all ages and tv's everywhere! Hot tub looked very inviting but just not enough time to use it! Kitchen and table large and easy to feed many with no problem! We had snow for a couple days and the kids slide down the front yard for hours and thoroughly all the outdoor time together! There were 15 of us and we will most certainly come back again!!!! Dr. Hughes and Family!

Exceedingly comfortable and spacious with all the amities of home. Was very peaceful and secluded with tremendous long range mountain views. Grounds were immaculate with beautiful landscaping. Beds were very comfortable providing a good night's sleep. Made us feel at home. Hated to leave, but will certainly be back sometime in the future. Celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary with entire family at the cabin. Made for a life-long wonderful memory for all 14 family members. A 30th birthday to remember!

We came for a 30th birthday celebration and had an amazing time during our stay. The property was close to EVERYTHING, but you didn’t even need to leave the house, it had everything you could possibly think of. We have ZERO complaints and are already planning our next trip back. The host was very responsive. He was even willing to help with the trash when the dump was closed. The house is beautiful. Peaceful. The kitchen is fully loaded which made it easy for me to cook for 12 people. The outdoor area was incredible. Only “complaint” is the master bed is not that comfortable, made my hips fall asleep during the night. But, I was still able to get good rest. Everyone left saying they had the time of their life and this was one of the best vacations. We will be back no doubt! I can’t thank them enough for allowing us to use this home.

Absolutely Perfect!

We rented this wonderful house in October and found it to be perfect! While the inside has an abundance of space including plenty of clean, comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, a well stocked kitchen, fun game room and stunning views; the outdoor area blew us away. The weather was perfect so we spent most of our time in the back area. First of all, this space expands the width of the entire house. The firepit and cook area was wonderful. Our daughter and her friends joined us for an unforgettable dinner enjoyed at the most most perfect outdoor dining gathering space. If you have the need for bringing friends or family together, this home clicks every single box. One last thing, I left my coat at the house after we checked out. The property manager not only found it for me, but he also dropped it off to my daughter at App State so that I could easily get it back. That was definitely appreciated! We look forward to staying here again in the near future!

Blended family vacation SUCCESS

We had the most amazing time! This was the first family vacation we have done with both my in laws, parents AND SIBLINGS which also included teenagers, along with our own kids. And we all had the most amazing time. There was 15 of us and everyone had their own spaces and plenty of things to do. We showed up and there was still snow on the ground and with sleds already on sight my little east coast babies got to enjoy sledding for the first time while we unloaded and got settled. We saw deer almost every morning and absolutely loved the view. The house was decorated beautifully for Christmas so we were able to just throw presents under the tree and start our vacation. We will most definitely come again! Also the eating options and pizza oven was over the top amazing, loved the outdoor tables and cooking area! Thank you for sharing your home with us and we can’t wait to come again! Also believe this would be a great summer home to vacation and explore the creek with the kids!
