"New hotel with clean room, excellent décor and good amenities"

"Great central location, shops nearby and a quaint, pretty room. However our check in process was very slow due to a flustered, and seemingly unprepared receptionist (who managed to give the couple ahead of us keys to an already occupied room!). The light switch to the bathroom was missing so we couldn’t turn the light on in there (inconvenient at best, a safety issue at worst) and other lighting/lamps in the room were also not working. At checkout we weren’t asked how our stay was but we proactively provided them with the above feedback anyway, as the missing switch was a particular concern. "

"The hotel staff are exceptional, they make you feel welcome. I had a lovely chat with a cleaner as she helped me navigate the corridors to my room, she really went above and beyond. All the staff seemed happy to be working at the hotel. The upgraded room was very spacious and had stunning views from the window."

"We checked in around 5pm. 2 rooms booked. We were assured prior to our stay that the rooms would be next to each other, however we were placed two floors apart. We asked them to rectify this however they said the hotel is fully booked and they couldn’t. They eventually placed us on the same floor together. Staff were polite enough, but this was quite an inconvenience and they did not apologise. The food was good. The amenities were ok, a little outdated and needed maintenance work in some areas (the spa). The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Did not play golf; we booked for the use of the spa. It’s no Hilton but it’s ok for the price. Would possibly stay again in the future. "
