"The Central Hotel was a very friendly, convenient, pet friendly hotel. The room was spacious, the beds comfortable and the food in the restaurant/breakfast was delicious. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, it was a lovely stay and we will definitely stay again."

"Our stay was fabulous from driving up to the chateau, the views that we were greeted with blew us away. Fantastic hospitality from our host was second to none. Beautiful clean room. The evening meal and breakfast all homemade were outstanding. We highly recommend this beautiful chateau to anyone visiting the area. "We spent two lovely days in Pau and were delighted to be guests in the Hotel Le Roncevaux for that time. It is an older hotel but is nicely upgraded with all modern conveniences. And the location in Pau is perfect for the visitor. The staff was friendly, courteous and made the extra effort to ensure our satisfaction. I recommend the hotel without any hesitation!"

"Lovely property in good location. Good communication and ease of access. Great showers/bathrooms, kitchen, lounges etc, and pool. Just could do with a spruce up in places, a new or cleaned barbecue, and one or two towels replaced!"

"Excellent for a overnight stay in between journey to other areas. Need to get the wi-fi for guests, even if offering for a fee! Great to have the cafe and bar and all the French magazines readily available."
